those who believed - believed - Ps. Caity
those who believe- Are under the banner of Jesus! Ps. Caity Snow
Happy Mother’s Day!
This Sunday Pastor Caity delivers the message in our series those who believed and goes deeper into the question, how do people know we are true believers? “Are the true believers only those serving in the house of the Lord?”
Pastor Caity explains the mandates God has laid out for all of us:
The believers are in FULL NUMBER-they are in UNITY-they are GENEROUS-they share the GOSPEL-and they give GRACE to all! Even when it’s not easy, we must show the signs of believers and not let our sins get in the way.
“Under the banner of Jesus is where the believers are together-that is where the LORD is!”
Listen this week as Pastor Caity shares what the Lord asks all “believers,” to do. God is not asking for perfection rather that we let our light shine for all to see.
We pray this message will encourage you to see how the Goodness of God has allowed you to live as a BELIEVER who BELIEVES!
those who believed - let's EAT - Ps. John Henry Scott
those who believe-E.A.T. with Jesus! Ps. John Scott
What does it look like to be a Believer who Believes?
This week our series those who believed continues, with Pastor John Henry Scott who explores the easiest way to live as a believer who believes. Ps. John poses “Can you live as both a noun (a believer) and a verb (who believes)? Ps. John shares how Jesus invited his disciples to eat with him and through this encounter they could learn from HIM and be like HIM. “The signs will follow them that believe!”
If we E.A.T. (Encounter Jesus, have an Awareness of Jesus, and Transfer the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) we get the gift of being in a relationship with God!
So, as you listen to this week’s message, EAT and enjoy!
those who believed - peace be with you (again) - Ps. Aaron
those who believe-have a sense of unity and togetherness! Ps. Aaron Snow
What are the signs of those who believe in Christ Jesus?
As our series those who believed continues, Pastor Aaron shares how the disciples hear from Jesus that their unity (togetherness) is yet another sign of their belief in him and in his teachings, “those who are of one heart and soul have everything in common.”
This week pastor Aaron teaches and encourages us on how to become messengers of the Peace Joy, and Unity we have found in Jesus, just as he encouraged his disciples. We must go and share the good news of what God has done for us – that is how we truly show we are believers!
those who believed - great joy - Ps. Aaron
those who believe-are filled with great joy! Ps. Aaron Snow
What are the first signs of those who believed in Christ?
The first sign of those who believed - they were a people of PEACE.
This week Pastor Aaron reveals the second sign - they were filled with Great Joy! Listen as we hear Pastor Aaron share the power that comes “when we fix our eyes on Jesus and discover who he really is.” Learn what happens in our lives when we believe the promise Jesus made to his disciples before his death which was, “I will see you again and you will rejoice.”
those who believed - peace be with you - Ps. Aaron
We launched our new series, Those who Believed, centered around Acts 4:32-33. We learned from John 20, that Jesus stood among them in a locked room, showed up in their fear and unbelief, and rather than rebukes, He said "peace be with you."
into the wilderness - shouting hosanna - ps. aaron
We concluded our Into the Wilderness series on this Palm Sunday with Shouting Hosanna. What kind of Hosanna are you shouting? What kind of king is He to you? Are we treating Jesus like our winter coat and only pulling Him out when we need Him?
into the wilderness - my soul is troubled - ps. aaron
Into the Wilderness continues with Ps Aaron's message, My Soul Is Troubled. Our text was primarily John 12:27-28. In our wilderness, are we finding, like Jesus, that our soul is being stirred or unsettled?
into the wilderness - the foolish cross - Ps. Brandon Cole
Our guest, Ps Brandon Cole of C3 Fort Worth, taught on The Foolish Cross, as a continuation of our Into the Wilderness series. Using 1 Corinthians 1:18-25, he described how God's plan to save us was not at all what we would do if planning to save the world. Do you believe in the message of the cross?
into the wilderness - set your mind - Ps. Caity
Ps. Caity continued our into the wilderness series with a messaged titled 'Set Your Mind.' How do we set our mind on our relationship with Jesus and not be focused on everything else? 'Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me.'
into the wilderness - the spirit sent him pt. 2 - ps. aaron
Into the wilderness - the spirit sent him - ps. aaron
glory revealed - what are you waiting for? - Ps. Aaron
As we conclude our Glory Revealed, Ps Aaron shared a message of encouragement titled What are you Waiting for? Just as Simon Peter’s mother-in-law was healed and got up to WAIT on them, what has Jesus done for you and what are you gifted to do now that His glory has shone on you?
If you are in need of prayer or have a testimony to share, please let us know. You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com
glory revealed - He Saved Me - Peyton Tillman
In the conclusion of our tag team messages, His glory was revealed through Peyton Tillman today. He shared that Jesus saved him from a life of darkness and anxiety but that he had to submit to God for it to happen. What powerful and hope filled message today. We pray it encourages you as much as it encouraged those in the room.
glory revealed - tag team - Renee Barber - John Walker
Glory was revealed today through Renee Barber and John Walker as they participated in our Tag Team preach. Renee posed the question, Are you prepared, while John challenged us to ‘keep turning’ in his message, Set Free.
We hope these messages help you to Know Jesus and Discover His Purpose for your life.
If you are in need of prayer or have a testimony to share, please let us know. You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com
glory revealed - the fish ain't bitin - Will Hamilton
Our series, “Glory Revealed,”continues, in this season of Epiphany, with a message from Purpose Worship’s very own, Will Hamilton titled, The Fish ain’t bitin’. He uses the text from Mark 1:14-17, when Jesus was calling his disciples to come and follow him. Will shares a wonderful story of growing up in East Tennessee and his own “fishing boat” to help in illustrating the meaning of glory. He uses examples from his own experience of becoming self-reliant in response to circumstances in his life, pursuing glory for attention.
Will teaches about the pitfalls of counterfeit glory, such as things we acquire, things we accomplish, career, spouse, kids, and social media. He also said, “You can’t expect to see the full glory revealed when you are living under a glorified version of yourself.”
The questions this week are where are you trying to find glory and what happens when those things fail you?
The message concludes with the reassurance that we are His masterpiece. That we are not evil, if we have been seeking glory apart from Him and that when He created us, He said, “It. Is. Good”.
If you are in need of prayer, please let us know. You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com
glory revealed - greater things - Brandon Gilbert
Our new series, “Glory Revealed” embraces this season of Epiphany, where the majesty of Jesus shines bright among us. As part of this series, Ps Aaron is thrilled to pass the torch to voices like Brandon Gilbert, our esteemed youth leader. Brandon shared his message titled, Three ‘Sees’, where he used John 1:43-51 to illustrate his points around Come and See, Jesus Sees Us, and We Will See. No matter what stage of faith you are experiencing right now, greater things are still to come.
The challenge for this week comes in three questions:
What have you seen? Who have you told? What have you done?

ADVENT - FOR US - PRINCE OF PEACE
For a child has been born—for us! The gift of a son—for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. Isaiah 9:6 MSG
These are not intended to be the literal names of Jesus . Instead, they are a fulfillment of a promise, aspects of His character. They describe who HE is and what He has come to do FOR US.
This Christmas, our prayer is that wherever you find yourself, you would come to KNOW that the promise we read in Isaiah is still true FOR US today. That Jesus came to be an Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, a Prince of Wholeness, FOR YOU, FOR US!
For a Child has been born - FOR US!
Merry Christmas Purpose Church, we love you!
See you January 7th, 2024
ADVENT - FOR US - EVERLASTING FATHER
For Us, our Advent series continues with Everlasting Father this week.! Our text is from Isaiah 9:1-7, and each week we learn more about the characteristics of Jesus from the different names prophesied about Him hundreds of years prior to His birth.
We learn about the origin of the words Father and Everlasting in the Hebrew, and that together they mean “possessor of” and “without end.” He is our eternal protector.
As we have been discussing darkness each week, this week’s question is simply, “Are you afraid of the dark?” Maybe it is the literal dark or the potential darkness that could be around the corner. He is our protective Father, even if your earthly Father has fallen short in that area.
We hope this season of Advent and, more specifically these messages will give you Hope and invite you to draw closer to Jesus, who LOVES YOU!
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

ADVENT - FOR US - MIGHTY GOD!
The awe and wonder of the Advent season is here! Our series, For Us, began with a look at Isaiah 9:1-7 and this week we focused on another aspect of Jesus character, as a Mighty God.
Our Mighty God is truly the only hero we need! Possibly the reason why there are so many hero movies is because everyone truly wants to be rescued, or to be saved.
Who have you looked to as a hero? Are you now ready to turn to the ultimate hero, who will never fail you, Jesus?
We hope this season of Advent and, more specifically these messages will give you Hope and invite you to draw closer to Jesus, who LOVES YOU!
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

ADVENT - FOR US - WONDERFUL COUNSELOR
The awe and wonder of the Advent season has begun! Our series, For Us, began with a look at Isaiah 9:1-7 and the first of four names that were prophesied in this text, Wonderful Counselor.
Just as the people of Israel were facing darkness when this beautiful hope was spoken out, we may find ourselves in a season of darkness. It may be caused by distress, mourning, sin or struggling with a secret. Darkness is not a promise. It is not the end. Jesus is the promise. Are you or someone you know walking in a season of darkness?
Jesus is a Wonderful Counselor. Wonderful here is defined as incomprehensible or too difficult to understand. He brings light to the darkness and the darkness can not overcome it. He brings counsel, He guides, and He advises.
Who do you turn to first for counsel when you are walking in darkness?
We hope this season of Advent and more so specifically these messages will give you Hope and invite you to draw closer to Jesus, who LOVES YOU!
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Our Purpose - Vision Sunday Continued - Panel
Sunday was special, profound and life giving. We are so incredibly proud of our Purpose panel!
This past Sunday, Ps. Aaron led a conversation around our Purpose as a church, Make Disciples, with four people from our community: Renee, Kathy, Will and Luke. They are all on different journeys in their discipleship formation. Our text was from Matthew 28:20, TEACH these new disciples, and the question posed was simply ‘What have you learned?’ From being enough, to finding security in Jesus, to realizing you're never too old or too late, and if you're feeling stagnant or complacent, maybe it’s time to get out of the boat and follow Jesus. This conversation has something for everyone!
So listen, be open to reflect, and when it’s over, ask yourself, what have you learned? Then, share that with someone over this holiday season. We are certain it will be an encouragement to all who hear it.
This series has been so rich and important for us as we step into this new season. @wearepurposechurch it’s time to PRESS ON!
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Partnering with God - Vision Sunday Cont... - Ps. John Scott
We had the privilege of having Ps John Scott, his family and part of their @christ2culture family worshiping with us at Purpose Church. Ps John, who we all consider family, brought an incredible word that was right on time, as Ps Aaron was away at a conference this Sunday.
He continued our Vision Sunday Continued series with a brilliant message, Partnering with God. The main text was Isaiah 6:8, which was familiar, but the teaching around it was life changing. It was only after the purifying encounter with God that he was able to say, “Here I am. Send Me.” not “where are we going? Or how long will it take?” We rationalize because when we don’t have the encounter first.
Ps John continued to teach how God uses man, through the vehicle of purpose to accomplish HIS will. He shared a long list of people in the Bible and how God used them, in very different ways, to accomplish His plans.
If you were away and missed it or if you want to listen again, you can do that here.
A reminder that next Sunday, we will be meeting at 9am for our first Serve Day. Dress warmly and join us for prayer, coffee and serving our community in love.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Our Mission - Vision Sunday Cont... - Ps. Aaron
Purpose Church shone brightly in our new home at Shiloh Gardens on Sunday! Our series Vision Sunday - Continued with the title, Our Mission. The entire morning was a great reminder that we are still the same amazing church in a new home. Our mission has not changed; to serve our community in love.
In Galatians 5:13, we are called to live in freedom, not for ourselves, but to use our freedom to serve one another in love. As Ps Aaron explained, when this journey began 8 years ago, the very first message he preached was titled, Leave ‘Em Better. It has become a value and character of our church. Our example is, of course, Jesus. What did Jesus do? He served us in love. He left us better.
If you were away and missed it, or if you would like to hear more about how Purpose Church will be living out our mission in the next few weeks, please take some time and listen. We hope that this message encourages and challenges you to look for opportunities to “leave ‘em better” and join with us as we serve our community in love.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Keep Going - Vision Sunday Cont... - Ps. Aaron
What an amazing Sunday to close out our time at ROAM as Purpose Church! The message, Keep Going, was perfectly timed, as we launch into this exciting season at our new venue next Sunday at Shiloh Gardens.
Ps Aaron shared about his personal journey that God has taken him on through this transition. In telling his story, we were encouraged about how God knows exactly where you are and how He perfectly positions people, sometimes neighbors or new acquaintances, to bring precisely the right words that were clearly straight from the Father. The takeaways were keep going, keep trusting and keep following. The words that we now have to champion one another are, “Keep going! You’re doing a great job!”
The entire morning was overflowing with joy and thankfulness for all God has done and great anticipation and excitement for what He will do next, in and through our Purpose Church family! We hope this message blesses you and we hope to see you next Sunday at our new church home.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Press On - Vision Sunday - Ps. Aaron - 10.15.23
This week’s message, Press On, is a message recalibrating our vision as we launch into this exciting new season as Purpose Church. Our vision remains clear; that you would KNOW Jesus and DISCOVER His purpose for your life.
Our text was from Philippians 3:7-14, as the apostle Paul encourages us from his own experiences that ‘whatever were gains to me, I now consider loss for the sake of Christ’. The question of the week is what gains do you still hold on to? Or what gains are keeping you from walking in the purpose that God has for you?
We hope you will also be encouraged by listening to this message and will join us next Sunday for our last service in our current venue.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

it's time to EXCEL - Part 4 - Ps. Aaron
We concluded our EXCEL series with the message It’s Time to Excel. We looked at Acts 16 and found 3 different people, who seemingly had nothing in common, in the natural. There was the Jewish woman who was a business leader, the slave girl and the jailer, who each heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and were overcome with joy as they had come to believe in God.
When people hear the Good News of Jesus, they are filled with joy. That joy wells up in rich generosity, even when they have just become believers. We are to remember that joy and receive the joy that leaves you speechless.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

it's time to EXCEL - Part 3 - Ps. Aaron
The story of the journey to this new location is powerful and a great reminder that God has guided our steps, has closed doors that needed to be closed and has prepared a place for us in His perfect timing. We are so thankful to Roam and the blessing they have been to us in this season, but we are ready for a new chapter in Shiloh Gardens where we can continue to grow, as we stay committed to making disciples who make disciples. To hear the whole story, we hope you will listen to this week’s message.

it's time to EXCEL - Part 2 - Ps. Aaron
BUT SINCE YOU EXCEL IN EVERYTHING In your Faith - In your Speech and in your Knowledge, then I encourage you in earnestness and in the Love we have ignited in you, - be sure you also Excel in this grace of giving.
2 Corinthians 8:7
Ps Aaron continued our EXCEL series as we continue to Reflect, Pray and Respond to the message from last week regarding giving. In this week’s text from Malachi 3:6-12, God asks us to ‘Return to Me,’- Bring - Test - See. The question of the week was ‘What do you worry about the most?’ God clearly tells us not to worry and shows us that we can overcome worry through His Word. We hope you will listen to this week’s message and spend some time with God as we prepare to excel in this grace of giving.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

EXCEL - its time to EXCEL - 9.17 - Ps. Aaron
BUT SINCE YOU EXCEL IN EVERYTHING In your Faith - In your Speech and in your Knowledge, then I encourage you in earnestness and in the Love we have ignited in you, - be sure you also Excel in this grace of giving. 2 Corinthians 8:7
This past Sunday Ps Aaron took some time to speak to us around the subject of finances. In his message, he shared how asking us and speaking to us specifically in the area of money has been a struggle for him. He came to this revelation that he was fearful of asking us to give faithfully and generously and in some way felt as though he was lacking faith and trust in God to provide for the finances of our Church. Yet, what God reminded him and affirmed in him is that He knows Caity and Aaron have been faithful and that they do trust Him with their finances and have done so for the past 24 years. What He has been asking Ps Aaron to do that he has misunderstood is that He has asked him to teach us - His church to trust Him with our finances. And so this message from Sunday is the first step in doing that. We would humbly ask you, if you missed church yesterday, to take time out this week to go and listen.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Fresh - Against Such Things wk. 11 - Ps. Aaron
This week’s message wrapped up our FRESH series on the Fruit of the Spirit by discussing Galatians 5:24. After teaching on the character virtues of the Spirit, Paul stresses that “against such things there is no law.” Author Christopher Wright explains it like this; “This kind of Christ-like character does not come from submitting to the law, but from submitting to Christ by faith, and living your life under the power and guidance of His Spirit.”
As the Jewish people’s population grew, they attempted to regulate their people through scribal law, often going far beyond what God intended or designed. Unfortunately, the law can not compel people to act a certain way, but by keeping in step with the Spirit and allowing the closeness to Him to transform us, we can continue to cultivate fruit and truly love one another as Jesus asked us to do. We hope this message does just that, helps you to KNOW the love of Jesus personally and then DISCOVER who He has called you to be and begin the journey of Loving others as you have been loved.
If you are in need of prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Fresh - Self Control wk. 10 - Ps. Aaron
This week’s message explores the significance of self-control in our Christian faith. We discuss the protective role of self-control, and why it is not a characteristic of God, but a vital gift He offers to us. We also dive into its Greek roots, exploring the true meaning of self-control as a dominion from within that proceeds outward, a vital tool in resisting temptation and keeping in step with the Spirit.
Through biblical examples of impulsivity, specifically focusing on the lives of Saul, David, and Peter, we hear of the pitfalls of being driven by worldly desires and the subsequent need for self-control. Finally, we discuss how self-control can be cultivated through the Spirit. This message is a powerful reminder of the role of self-control in our spiritual growth and the vital importance of aligning our will with God's.
Our prayer each week is that we would help you to KNOW Jesus personally and begin to trust that He has a Purpose for your life. If you want or need prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way!

Fresh - Be Faithful wk. 8 - Ps. Aaron
We continued our FRESH series on the Fruit of the Spirit with a message titled, Be Faithful. God's boundless faithfulness and Jesus's unwavering loyalty to his disciples are perfect examples, giving us hope in our most challenging times. The biblical teachings warn us against opportunism and fair-weather friendship, challenging us to be faithful and dependable companions. We learned how to cultivate faithfulness in our own lives from 1 Corinthians 13:7 AMP; Bearing all things, Believing all things, Hoping all things and Enduring all things.
The question this week to consider is, “Are you a loyal friend to others”? We hope this message will assist you in answering this during your time with God and discover ways to work toward being a faithful person who can be relied upon, no matter the circumstances.
Our prayer each week is that we would help you to KNOW Jesus personally and begin to trust that He has a Purpose for your life. If you want or need prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way! You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com
MADE NEW - Ps. Aaron - 9.6.23
This Sunday was filled with celebration for many reasons! This week we prayed over all of our students and faculty who have all gone back to school this week. We also had 10 people who decided to go public with their faith by being water baptized. As part of this special day, we departed from our Fresh Series and Ps Aaron gave a message titled Made New. Our text today was Matthew 28:18-19 and Mark 16:15-16. In both examples, Jesus was instructing his disciples to make disciples and baptize them. That whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.
We enjoyed watching as 10 disciples were Made New and followed Jesus’ example of water baptism.
If you are considering baptism, we hope this message will assist you by learning what Jesus did and what he charges each of us to do; Repent, be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Fresh - Do Good wk.7 - Ps. Aaron
This Sunday, Ps Aaron continued our FRESH series on the Fruit of the Spirit with a message titled DO GOOD. This week’s text took us to Titus 3:1-8 which discusses being “ready for every good work” and to “be careful to devote themselves to good works, these things are excellent and profitable for people”. By definition, goodness is to do good; to be one with moral virtue and character; having integrity. The opposite of goodness is phoniness and hypocrisy. We can’t talk about it and not be about it! We also learned four practical ways to cultivate goodness in our lives.
Are you an honest, be-kind, do-good kind of person? Are you an, oh my goodness, you phony and hypocritical kind of person?
If you or someone you know struggles with this attribute of the fruit of the Spirit, we hope you will listen and share this message with others who need to experience His goodness.

FRESH - Kindness wk. 6 - Brandon Gilbert
This Sunday, our fearless Youth leader, Brandon Gilbert, continued our FRESH series on the Fruit of the Spirit with a message titled, Kindness. By definition, it means taking action with a lot of inner security without thought of anything in return, as in a random act of kindness. We learned that the opposite of kindness is envy, or the inability to rejoice in someone else’s joy. How do we cultivate kindness? We can show mercy, love when we don’t feel like it, and choose to be kind. It all comes back to love!
So the questions this week are, How has God shown you kindness? Is there someone who you can show kindness to this week? Is there an area in your life you feel you could better show kindness (love) to yourself?
If you or someone you know struggles with this attribute of the fruit of the Spirit, we hope you will listen and share this message with others who need to experience His kindness.
Our prayer each week is that we would help you to KNOW Jesus personally and begin to trust that He has a Purpose for your life. If you want or need prayer, would you let us know? FRESH - Be Patient wk. 5- Ps. Aaron
This Sunday, Ps Aaron Snow continued our FRESH series on the Fruit of the Spirit with a challenging message titled BE PATIENT. Our text is centered around Galatians 5:22-26. As we continued on the list of 9 attributes of the Fruit of the Spirit, he shared a quote from author Christopher Wright, “The first three items in Paul’s fruit basket sound very spiritual, heavenly almost. Very nice for Sundays at least. But his next one, patience, brings us back down to earth on a Monday. What are we like to live with the rest of the week? How do we cope with all that presses in on us in the hustle and hassle of life?”
We also learned that the opposite of patience is actually anger, that anger can lead to revenge or indifference, and three ways for us to cultivate patience.
So the big question this week is, are you angry? Anger itself isn’t a sin, but what we do with it can be.
If you or someone you know struggles with this attribute of the fruit of the Spirit, we hope you will listen and share this message with others who need to experience His peace.
FRESH - Peace wk. 4 - Ps. Caity Snow
This past Sunday, Ps Caity Snow continued our FRESH series on the Fruit of the Spirit. Her beautiful message, Peace, gave us clear definitions of what peace is, what it is not, the enemies of peace, the counterfeits of peace and how we can cultivate peace. In Philippians 4:6, Paul explained that we should not worry about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to God. Out of the assurance of our salvation, we need to trust Him, no matter what the outcome. We were also sent the Holy Spirit to help us cultivate our peace.
The questions this week included; Has anxiety, cynicism and apathy taken the seat in which peace should be sitting? Are you cultivating peace?
If you or someone you know struggles with this aspect of the fruit of the Spirit, we hope you will listen and share this message with others who need to experience His peace.
FRESH - Choose Joy wk. 3 - Ps. John Scott
We had an incredible Sunday as Ps. John Scott, Lead pastor of Christ Culture Church, continued our FRESH series around Galatians 5:16-26 and the Fruit of the Spirit. He taught on the second characteristic in the Fruit of the Spirit in a message titled, “CHOOSE JOY.”
We learned that Joy strengthens (Nehemiah 8:10), Joy is an offering (Psalm 27:6), Joy is a gift (Ecclesiastes 2:26) and Purpose instinctively responds with Joy (Luke 1:41). We also learned what to do when we are running low on joy. We can ask for joy (Psalm 51:2), we can anticipate joy (Psalm 126), and we can accept joy (Matthew 25:21). FRESH - REAL LOVE - Wk 2. - Ps. Aaron
This Sunday, our FRESH series continued around Galatians 5:16-26 and the Fruit of the Spirit. Around verse 22, specifically, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This week we focused on love, in the message titled REAL LOVE.
To learn what love is and is not, we studied I Corinthians 13:1-13. Ps Aaron explained that this is an easy assessment if you are wondering if you have more ‘love is’ or more ‘love is not’ in your life. We also learned about what the counterfeit of love is. The last part of the message reminded us of I John 4:18, “Perfect Love drives out all fear.” The question this week was ‘What are you afraid of?’
A Father's Heart - Ps. Aaron - 6.18
This Sunday, our Purpose Church Dads were celebrated for Father's Day in many ways, including an encouraging message from Ps Aaron from a Father's Heart. We took an unexpected pause from our Fresh series so that Fathers of every age could be reminded that the Lord is proud of them and that He loves them. Also, since we are all sons and daughters, we need to not let our earthly experience with a father limit our view of our Heavenly Father.
We hope this message encourages you and you are able to ask yourself, Have I experienced the real and tangible love of our Father? Do I believe that He is well pleased with me?
Our prayer each week is that we would help you to KNOW Jesus personally and begin to trust that He has a Purpose for your life. If you want or need prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way! You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com

FRESH - Keep in Step Wk. 1 - Ps. Aaron
For the last 7 months we have been learning what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus, a learner, a true follower of Christ in BELIEF AND PRACTICE. And we know that as Jesus says in Matthew 7:20 it is by our Fruit that they will know us as HIS Disciples. BY OUR FRUIT. It is our belief that we are in a season where, just as we pray we need a FRESH WIND, We believe we are in a season where we NEED A FRESH perspective on what it truly means to be KNOWN BY OUR FRUIT AND MAYBE MORE IMPORTANTLY HOW IS THIS FRUIT produced in our lives?
So this week we start a new teaching series, FRESH: Fruit of the Spirit, with a message titled "Keep in Step".
Fresh - The Comforter - Ps. Aaron Snow
We launched our Sunday morning services this week with a taste of our new Summer series FRESH. The Comforter is the Holy Spirit and we will be diving into the Fruit of the Spirit in the next few weeks. Ps Aaron shared his heart and that this last week would have been impossible without the Holy Spirit. From 2 Corinthians 1:3-7, our God is the “Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.” The road to real comfort is found through a close-up, personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. In order to have that, you must first, put your faith in Jesus and, secondly, receive the Holy Spirit. It is truly that simple!
We hope this message encourages you and you are able to ask yourself, “Have I received the gift of the Holy Spirit?”

Disciple - Everyone Who Hears - Ps. Aaron
We hope this message encourages you and challenges you to ask, “What foundation am I building my life on?” Or as Jesus asked his disciples in Matthew 16:13-16, “Who do you say that I am?”
Our prayer each week is that we would help you to KNOW Jesus personally and begin to trust that He has a Purpose for your life. If you want or need prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way! You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com.
Disciple - By Their Fruit - Ps. Aaron
This Sunday, Ps Aaron continued our Disciple series with our next warning from Jesus in his Sermon on the Mount ( Matthew 7:15-23). Jesus cautioned us to be aware of false prophets dressed in sheep’s clothing, but he gave us a guide to help us, which was also the title for the message, BY THEIR FRUIT. Jesus described two types of prophets and two types of disciples. As we continue to become disciples who make disciples, we want to make sure that we are producing good fruit in our own lives.
We hope this message encourages you and challenges you to CHECK YOUR FRUIT (Galatians 5:22-23) and CHECK YOUR MOTIVES (Matthew 7:21-23 MSG).
Disciples - Only A Few - Ps. Aaron
This Sunday, Ps Aaron continued in Matthew 7 with verses 13-14 in a message titled ONLY A FEW. In these verses, Jesus explained that only a few are on the right path and how he wants us to be among the few. The passage “enter through the narrow gate” often described as an invitation isn’t an invitation but rather a COMMAND. A command that challenges us to be ONE OF THE FEW.
What if we lived in such a way that would turn the many into a few and the few into many?
We pray this message encourages and challenges you to LIVE AS ONE OF THE FEW, who ENTER through the narrow gate, Jesus.
Disciple - IN EVERYTHING - Ps. Aaron
This past Sunday, Ps. Aaron took one verse in Matthew, 7:12, and challenged us to start living as Christ has called us to live. That IN EVERYTHING (known as the Golden Rule) we are called to live and to love as Jesus has loved us. This is how we are known as DISCIPLES, as Jesus teaches in John 13, by the way we love one another.
"IN EVERYTHING" people are transformed when they are loved as Christ loved us.
We pray this message encourages and challenges you to LOVE LIKE JESUS Loved, that IN EVERYTHING we grab the initiative and do to others, what HE has done for us.
Disciple - ASK HIM - Ps. Aaron
This past Sunday, Ps. Aaron continued our Disciple series as we looked at Matthew 7:7-11 Ask, Seek, Knock. In this text Jesus is simply teaching His followers, His disciples be a people who persistently ASK - SEEK - KNOCK. Do it with shameless audacity, with unembarrassed boldness.
We pray this message encourages you to ASK HIM again, and Keep asking!
Our prayer is that we would help you to KNOW Jesus personally and begin to trust that He has a PURPOSE for your life. If you heard this message and want or need prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way! You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com
Disciple - Return Home - Ps. Aaron
Happy Birthday Purpose Church, can you believe we are 1 year young. And what an amazing year it has been, so full of testimonies of Gods faithfulness, stories of healing and restoration and stories of so many beginning to discover God's Purpose for your lives. What a year it has been and the best is, we are just getting started.
As we took time to celebrate, we looked at the story of the demon possessed man in Luke 8 in which Ps. Aaron challenged us to RETURN HOME, just not in the way you might think. We encourage you to listen to this message and consider this question, WHAT HAS GOD DONE FOR YOU in this past year, month or week? Maybe what He has done is the very thing He is asking you to RETURN HOME home and start sharing with those whom He is calling you to. We pray this message encourages you and helps you know Jesus and begin to trust that He has a Purpose for your life. If you heard this message and want or need prayer, would you let us know? We would love to pray with you and for you as God continues to reveal His grace and truth to you in a real and powerful way! You can email us at hello@wearepurposechurch.com
Disciple - What's Next Part 2 - Ps. Caity
In a follow up to last weeks message What's Next, Ps. Caity helped us to look at the Alabaster Jars of our life from a different perspective. What if my alabaster box containing those things that are meant to be most precious to me was broken in the wrong place, for the wrong reason or person? How can I break this box and offer God my ALL when my box is already broken? Ps. Caity shows us that, while it is true in life that certain things can only happen once, our God CAN and WILL redeem every part of our lives and remind us just how valuable we are to HIM!
We pray this message encourages you. If you find your jar in broken pieces, God can redeem it!

Disciple - What's Next? - Ps. Aaron
What's next? A common question we often ask ourselves. As we continue in our journey with Jesus, we often are unsure where to start. Today, we learn that the answer to what's next is what is in our Alabaster Jar. Ps. Aaron shares with us that our start to the "what's next" is what we have to give Him and to serve his Kingdom.
