From Priesthood to Politics, "I've Lived Several Lives": Paul Galles
I had the pleasure of speaking with Paul Galles, Member of Parliament and City Councillor with the CSV, in our final planned call before the local elections.
We spoke about Paul's background as a former Catholic priest and volunteer coordinator at Young Caritas.
We discussed his journey into politics and how and why he joined the CSV.
If re-elected, he aims to commit to even more positive changes for Luxembourg City's growth and sustainability goals, leveraging his background in sustainable development cooperation. 🏙️🌱
We also talked about the importance of collaboration with other city councillors and stakeholders to ensure effective governance and achieve positive outcomes. 🤝🌍
Paul acknowledged the responsibility he and his party take for the challenges in involving more residents in the decision-making process. 🗳️🤝
We touched on the language aspect / politics in Luxembourg, particularly concerning television and media coverage. 📺🌐

Positive Change is Never Easy, It Never Happens Out of the Blue: Pitt Sietzen
I had the privilege of speaking with Pitt Sietzen, the first candidate from Luxembourg City representing the ruling party, the DP, to join me LIVE.
🎙️ Pitt shared his journey into politics and his reasons for aligning with the DP. As a dynamic and energetic young candidate, he brings a fresh perspective to the Blue list in the city.

Esch-sur-Alzette, and Offering Equal Opportunities in Schools: Liz Braz
Liz Braz is carving her own path in politics.
She’s a candidate with the LSAP in Esch-sir-Alzette, and in this call we spoke about:
Her motivations, young people in politics, inclusivity and social justice and her reasons for joining the Socialist Party.
Liz emphasised her position on how our democracy treats non-citizens.
For Esch, she wants to prioritise Education, and ensure the city is one of short distances, innovative and future-prepared.

Fabricio Costa is the Young Greens (Dei Greng) spokesperson and is running this year in Luxembourg City.
A fascinating call where we spoke about young people participating, his experience, party-politics and coalitions, mobility and housing.
Our (Luxembourg) City, the Best Place to Live: Serge Wilmes
Serge Wilmes is running for Mayor of Luxembourg City.
He told me he plans to involve residents in his decision-making, if elected Mayor.
We spoke about his plans for Housing 🏡 Economic Development 📈 and supporting local businesses, improving quality of life 🏃♂️ mobility, and environmental sustainability.
Democracy starts at the Local Level: Jana Degrott
Jana Degrott is a rising star within the DP in Luxembourg, recognised as a Leader by the Obama Foundation and countless other organisations that have awarded her for her work.
We spoke about her political engagement, her motivation, her Steinseil and communication with the electorate.
Getting Involved, with the Left: Aseem Kshirsagar
Aseem Kshirsagar has been living in Luxembourg City for only 2 years, and yet he has taken the responsbility of running for local office this year with the Left.
An Indian citizen living in Luxembourg and working as a researcher at the University of Luxembourg, Aseem became active in déi Lénk when their Our City, Our Votes campaign to register foreign voters was launched in January of 2022.
He describes himself as a newbie in the politics of Luxembourg but having a strong political opinion.

I'm an architect, but I don't design buildings (Why I'm building a TV show)
20 years after convincing myself to become an architect, to contribute to the development of my beloved Luxembourg City, I realised the best use of my skills were not in drawing lines on Autocad.
I am not designing buildings, because the fundamental long-term problem in Luxembourg, that few are working on is: social and political inclusion.
To ensure more people are able to at least develop a greater understanding of our politics and social issues, I’ve been designing, and producing a show that will reach your screens and/or headphones soon.
Conversations with Christos aired its pilot on 20 December 2022. It was the most watched English-speaking political talk show in Luxembourg while it aired.
