We go over: The Giver Lucy The Matrix Divergent Bird Box plus a few more.... The main one being The Giver; Let me further explain how the main character Jonas represents a gift from God. One who baptizes with you with water (truth). (Ioannes, Joan, Joanne, Joanna etc.) The Hebrew version of the name means Dove; That is because the word 'Jonas' comes from the Greek word οιωνός (pronounced: e-oh-nos), meaning sign or portent, because in ancient Greece it was believed that birds were sent by gods as a sign to people. From this it is assumed that the name Jonas means a peaceful being. As a variation of Jonah, it can be considered to mean 'accomplishing', and a 'gift from God'. The child he rescued was Gabriel. Gabriel is a given name derived from the Hebrew name Gaḇrīʾēl (גַבְרִיאֵל) meaning "God is my strength" or "God is my (strong) man". The name was popularized by the association with the archangel Gabriel. Hence, Gabriel was Jonas' Strength to stand for what he knows to be True.
