By RUMLAE

Warfare remains law’s most intractable challenge. The Research Unit on Military Law and Ethics (RUMLAE) at the Adelaide Law School has been established to examine legal and policy issues relevant to military and security matters with a particular focus on ethical aspects relevant to the use of force. RUMLAE aims to facilitate the emergence of a creative inter-disciplinary dialogue on contemporary challenges in the areas of military law, national security, international law, military justice, international relations, strategic policy and space law through regular podcasts with leading experts.

Freedom of Navigation on the Seas - Cameron Moore

Freedom of Navigation on the Seas - Cameron Moore

Dr Cameron Moore, Professor at the University of New England discusses his book Freedom of Navigation and the Law of the Sea. It is a particularly topical and pressing issue. Although modern conflict has been predominately fought in the land and air domain, the maritime domain provides a unique set of environmental circumstances and legal frameworks that are often overlooked. In this book, Professor Moore seeks to navigate case law, academic commentary and State practice to distil binding legal norms and thresholds for the law of the sea.
