Dialogues with everyday people of different place, experience, and belief on ideas of #self/not self #time #love and other wonderous, unanswerable things. Interviews are held by Cole (Nicole Garlando) who began this project in 2014. They are often done on the fly with people Cole knows or just meets so the show has a lo-fi quality with changes in background noise, volume, and recording medium. All interviews are recorded consentually; people can remain anonymous or choose to be named; perspectives are momentary and may have changed. HUMAN INTERVIEWS is a project I began in 2014 to gather and share ideas about the experience of self/no(t) self; time; perception; love; and other things that bring wonder to me. The most common and unanswerable things.

I believe asking questions of ourselves and imagining new worlds is important for human beings.

For each episode I combine clips from interviews I've done between 2014-2023 with people who vary in age, nation, race, religion, class, background, and belief. All interviewees are recorded consentually. Beginning September 2021 participants opt to remain anonymous or to be named. Anonymity was the practice from 2014-2021 out of solidarity with some of the first interviewees who could not be named for safety or privacy. I appreciate that this project can stand both with those who remain anonymous and with people who choose to be named.
