Fun fact we podcasted a good 20-25 minutes before realizing we were not recording but we still think it turned out wonderfully. Each week the contestants will be expected to create a Brunch Starter and a Main and whoever wins earns the right to be judged first next. As the engine keep rolling toward its terminus, Bake Off keeps getting better and this week was no different. A signature where nearly everyone did really well. A super fun technical, and a showstopper where Star Baker was certainly decided means we had one heck of a week in the tent. Week 6 and for the first time ever, we are getting spooky with it. The first ever Halloween Week was a delightful return to form and everything that makes GBBO such a delight. A fierce week of competition and the strongest Star Baker performance maybe ever (like for real). Season 2 Episode 4: Mexican Week
Week 4 in the Tent was a rough one. Maybe because we are a bunch of left leaning elitist, but boy did this week seem a bit, well a bit racist to be honest with you. Tee even found an article about it that is this week’s “Bakers Make the World Go Round” segment. But we talked it through, made some jokes and recapped the episode as we always do. We had our full compliment of bakers this week which was a good thing. But we also had the possibility of losing two bakers this go round as opposed to one so that stinks. We also had a technical challenge that had no baking at all which seems antithetical to the show premise at first, but Ant set’s us straight. Our third week in the tent was a little bit of everything. Two bakers were out this week (for an undisclosed but come on you know what it is illness) meaning the crown jewel of every season of Bake-Off was kind of lacking as Bread Week’s go. However, it was still just a riot. Just a whole lot of fun and funnies to be had. This time however, we have grown up and left our father’s house (in this case Stays Krunchy in Milk) and are our own, independent podcast (or Podkast as it were) So, we tweaked the name, but everything else is the same. It's the Semi-Finals and as in all matters sport, this is when players step up. This was hands down, one of the best episodes in the history of this program. It was a master class in baking and a delight to witness. Until it wasn't.
