Ep. #17 22 Years Without a Diagnosis: My Endometriosis Story w/Dr. Kelly Sadauckas
The end of 2022 was really difficult for me, I was in debilitating pain, so much so I was struggling to walk. As someone who works out all the time and loves to move, this was devastating to me. By April 18th, 2023 I would undergo 5 hours of surgery and get diagnosed with Stage 4 Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis. I discuss some of the major symptoms I had and how I advocated for myself until I found a doctor who would listen to me. I speak about how difficult the road to recovery both physically and mentally was probably the hardest thing I've ever dealt with in my life.
I sit down with Dr. Kelly Sadauckas, DPT, OCS, WCS who is a pelvic floor therapist for Endometriosis Awareness Month to bring awareness to this complex and complicated disease that actually isn't so rare. I shed light on how important and vital pelvic floor therapy was and still is a major part of my recovery success.
This is about my story and how I will use every ounce of my voice to bring forth awareness to Endometriosis and that you are indeed your best advocate. And that you can heal and feel good again, I feel like I got a second chance at life.
And always remember, an educated patient is an empowered patient.

Ep. #16 Trauma Is The Root Of Our Problems: How EMDR Therapy Can Change Lives
In today's episode on Keeping It Jersey with Laura Vaisman is a podcast I recently did called, The On Call Empath with Raj Montage. We discussed the impacts of trauma has on the body and how our current mental health system doesn't seem to be helping. I discuss how much EMDR therapy has changed my life and my own mental health versus doing years of CBT/talk therapy. Laura explains how if we started looking at the root aka the traumas that have happened in our lives first we would have a very different outcome in helping people heal or come to a place of acceptance of their past not in their mind but their body's.
Enjoy! Let me know what you thought!

Ep. #10 "I Felt Like I Was Being Given a Second Shot..." with The Red Bra Project
Laura speaks with Renee Baus & Shawna, Altenburger from The Red Bra Project where they inspire and empower women, one story at a time. The story of the Red Bra Project was created with an intention to serve as a platform to celebrate her, in many ways. It could be to bring her into the spotlight for a moment, should she choose to come along as a place she can share her story. The Red Bra signifies, "Think about it as the modern day cape for the woman. It’s a symbol. Bold, powerful & supportive. A reminder that whatever the day has brought to her, whatever she is working through that underneath it all, she has exactly what it takes to pull it back together, rise up and achieve ANYTHING! Together, we really are better."
Laura talks about her new book Penny Panic, an anxiety book for teens and how important it is to not see anxiety as a "monster" that lives inside you. That you are not damaged or disordered, and most importantly you are never alone.

Ep. #9 Spiritual Nomad Reading: Chapter 1: Europe, or a Used Car?
Follow along as Laura reads snippets from her first book Spiritual Nomad: A Journey Within and Abroad. She adds little side stories that may not be in the book too.
When I was a young girl, I was shy, anxious, and afraid. Of everything. Then, at age 17, I suddenly found my life changed when I was given the opportunity to travel to Europe. The exhilarating experience of traveling solo opened my eyes to a new vibrant way of being, and I returned home happier, more confident, and eager to let my voice be heard. I promised myself that I would return to Europe the next year to continue my spiritual journey. But unfortunately, life had other plans. A traumatic family event shook me to my core, and soon anxiety and fear crept back into my life. It took all my strength to overcome this tragedy and step out of the darkness again. I embarked on an incredible spiritual journey, spanning over 10 years and 14 different countries, taking home a different, life-enriching lesson from each special place I visited. Life as a spiritual nomad taught me to embrace my anxiety and love myself again, to accept the journey of life – the good, the bad, and the ugly –to become an all-round stronger person. This is my story.

Ep. #1 Tea With Gary Vee Part 1: "You Gave Writing 12 Years But Video Zero."
I had the chance to speak with Gary Vee today last year. I've been a writer for the last 12+ years and have now published my second book, Penny Panic which I talk about with him. I had questions to ask about my writing and why it's not taking off even though people love what I write and give me great feedback. Gary Vee gives me the Jersey kick in the ass and calls me the fuck out. Listen to what he has to say and the breakthrough I had. I'm grateful I had this moment and now a year later today, I'm starting my podcast with one of my favorite moments of a crazy 2020. I'm excited for this new venture and I appreciate you all who are here listening. Stay tuned for more episodes to come from the wild journey I've been on since last year!
