Tahmina Ali is a British Bangladeshi poet based in the northeast of England. Tahmina talks about how she got into poetry from a young age, her other creative careers, and her love of Formula 1 as well as gives some brilliant advice.

Ayla Huseyinoglu is a student/young professional who has a career in social science, public policy and research. Ayla has worked with Luxi as a volunteer and a participant since she was 14 years old and is now in her university education where she brings a fascinating insight into her knowledge of politics and the world.

Celeste Hicks is a journalist by training and has worked at the BBC World Service as well as a freelance but is currently working as a Communication Manager for an NGO climate organisation. Richard Bliss is an Artist/Tailor working with textiles & based in Newcastle. In this podcast, Richard talks about the journey of creating conversation and gives advice for young people in education, career changers and for people in life, whilst talking about the jobs he’s done on the way.

Jennie Nash, a California-based Book Coach, tells us about the world of book coaching and explains how she became a leader in this new industry at the age of 50. Jennie herself was a published author and now not just supports and coaches writers through the whole process while they write their own books but also trains others to become book coaches.

Heather Knight has had a fascinating career managing dance companies. In her interview with Caroline Pearce she tells some amazing stories from the worlds of dance and theatre alongside her love of organising, enjoying people and how she got into dance. Heather gives some great advice to students and explains why she hates social media. Heather is a proud Companion of LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) and coordinated Dance Consortium for many years, as just one of her ground breaking roles.

Victoria is a Freelance Heritage Professional working with archives, historic buildings and structures, and museum collections as well as a Project Manager for funded projects. Victoria talks about medieval life, how creativity sits in her world and the way some historic buildings have fallen into decay and the new way of presenting them.

Humira’s job title is a Producer, Director, Writer, Digital Stage Manager and Digital Experimenter but calls themself an Opportunist rather than an artist or producer. They mostly work in technology and digital exploring as well as a career in the arts that takes them in fascinating directions.

Victoria is a theatre maker and artist best known for shows such as Ugly Chief and Major Tom.  In this podcast that was originally recorded in 2020, both Caroline Pearce and Kirsten Yates chat with Victoria about how she became obsessed with British tribes and how she embedded herself into them. From her experiences in these tribes such as Northern Soul, Dog Show Handlers and Funeral Directors, Victoria creates her shows.

Helen is a multidisciplinary artist working in a range of media and an arts facilitator based in Newcastle. She describes herself as a “curious, creative person who loves communicating and connecting with people.” In this podcast she talks about subjects such as her practice, what she thinks of colour and what advice she would give to young people in education. Helen also works as a library aide and teaches Fine Art and Architecture at Newcastle University.

David is a freelance PR, communications and marketing practitioner based in Newcastle upon Tyne who has worked with people like VisitEngland, Royal Shakespeare Company, Theatre Royal Newcastle, and on campaigns including the Football Association's bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018/22, the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Rugby World Cup 2015.
