This is the 4th episode in a 5 part series.

The Science of Mind tells us that we can have, be, and do anything we want. If that's true, how to do we move forward with confidence and purpose in an infinite universe?

We are awakening, in a new way, to the realization that we’re bigger than we thought we were. Now what are we going to do about it? How do we carry that awareness forward into a larger expression of
Good in our own lives, the lives of our spiritual communities, our larger community, and our planet? Ground in the Truth of who we are and our Vision of who we are becoming, we let that Vision and that Truth inform our every thought, word and action. Knowing that we are “about our {Creator}’s business” (Luke 2:49), we
consciously, lovingly, creatively get to work implementing a world that works for all.

"Who Am I?" is a question that has been asked throughout time.  This Sunday we will do a deep dive into who you really are as you recognize the Divine Presence that is within you.

Some version of the Golden Rule can be found in many if not most religions, schools of thought, and philosophies. It's a well-known man-made rule that many people strive to adhere to, and yet there is something beyond the ethics of doing unto others as you would like for them to do unto you - especially when others do not treat you the same way. What do you do when others don't reciprocate according to the Golden Rule? You rise above man-made law and delve into Divine Law, and let that lead you to Divine Right Loving Order - which will never leave you being a doormat.

Sabrina Johnson is a resident of Prescott, Arizona, having been born, raised, and lived all her life in Southern California. Sabrina was raised in New Thought (Unity, Newport Beach, CA), and she became a member of North Hollywood Church of Religious Science in 2006 and became a licensed Practitioner in 2009.

In May 2023, Sabrina graduated from Claremont School of Theology's Master of Divinity program and looks forward with joyful curiosity as to what new adventure awaits her gratitude.

The sun has set on the old way of thinking. As we rise into this new year, we shake off the dust of yesterday to emerge into a beautiful world that truly works for everyone.

Every year, snakelike, the closing in December and the opening in January wraps back on itself as the new swallows the old and sheds its skin in favor of beginning afresh.  This circle, always occurring, is given special meaning for today marks New Years eve morning.  

Join in a celebration of endings and beginnings. As the baby year 2024 is being birthed, what vow will you make to honor the new in you?  What old skin that no longer serves will you shed?  Be prepared to release and to stretch.

The birth and life of Jesus are metaphors for our own celebrations and disappointments. But in our most tender moments, we know that we are even more than that. Christ consciousness is the feeling of wholeness, allowing our natural compassion and our love for one another to reign. 

One Sentence Affirmation: I abide in Christ consciousness, being still and knowing the Truth that I am whole.

The American writer Henry Miller said, “The moment one gives close attention to anything – even a blade of grass – it becomes mysterious, awesome, and indescribably magnificent.” By virtue of our holy place in the Universe, we are charged with the world’s enrichment.

One Sentence Affirmation: My awareness of my Oneness with the Universe, our planet, and every blade of grass, inspires and guides me in my enrichment of the world.

Embarking on a journey of self-awareness and spiritual growth involves the courageous act of examining our behaviors without succumbing to shame. Identifying aspects like selfishness, judgment, materialism, ego-driven actions, and neglect of self-reflection is not a condemnation but an invitation to authenticity.

Many of us struggle to see the face of God in everyone we meet. Even in this season of conscious gratitude, we find we don’t always live our values for love, kindness, and compassion. Why? At any age, you can foster more caring and respectful relationships for more personal peace and joy, creating a world that works for everyone…not just some of us.

Dr. L. Carol Scott is entering her final year of education to become a licensed Religious Science Practitioner (RScP) in the Centers for Spiritual Living. A trauma-informed developmental psychologist, keynote speaker, 2018 TEDx speaker, and #1 International Best-Selling author, Carol has presented to CSL communities, Unitarian Universalist fellowships, and Unity congregations across the country.

God expresses as EVERYTHING … including the profane!

Gratitude and being kind to ourselves and others is a spiritual practice that can transform our lives.  How many of us actually do that? In times of stress are we truly kind, compassionate and gentle with ourselves, or do we allow our inner critic to get in the way and mentally beat ourselves up? Kindness is a choice and when we are kind to ourselves we are able to be kind to the world. In this talk we will look at how being kind affects everything in our lives, and how we can heal the world with an overflowing cup of kindness. With songs, stories, laughter and connection we will experience the power of kindness.  

Karen Drucker is a well-known and highly sought-after singer, songwriter, retreat leader, author, comedienne, and seeker. She loves transformation in herself as well as seeing it happen for others.  Her work is her passion. She wants to make a difference in this world by helping people open their hearts and empower them to find the beauty and strength that is already in them. Her main motto is “You are seen, you are heard.”

In our World of judgment, comparison, choosing sides, hot or cold, young or old it can be too easy to forget the Truth. Taking a fresh look at a vision of the Earth through a telescope from outer space many of the issues and manner of speaking changes. Rev. Cath leads Rev. Tracey through a Q&A, raising our consciousness that we are always divinely guided, directed, led and protected in all we do. 

Energy goes where attention flows. We are the Movers, the Shakers, the Peacemakers. We come together in love, support and for a high purpose. We speak our word and live affirmatively to claim our Good, which is always available.

We see Love increasing in the human population. Yes you heard me right, Love and Light is increasing. The choice to love is not based on chaos fading, but comes from our identity. More people are waking up to the solution by beaming the creative frequency of the Universe … love.

In addition to being a metaphysical minister and spiritual teacher, Dr. Karmen is a mental health therapist and author of the book The "I AM" SOLUTION - Simple Practices to Transform Fear back to LOVE, a step-by-step spiritual/psychological journey through her own trauma to triumph.  Clay is a recovered English teacher, currently serving as IT Guru at CSL Prescott while moonlighting as a playwright and novelist.  You might see him around town performing drunken Shakespeare, hosting bar trivia, or on a mission to become "Prescott famous".  

You might know him as Seamus's dad.

Change is Divine Orchestration and Manifestation. It's really just an expansion of the concept of God as Creator and Designer. In other words, God is still writing your story. Quit trying to steal the pen and trust the author!

Hazel Bowman has been a member of CSL Prescott for over 16 years and has been a Religious Science Practitioner for 11 years, recognizing the presence of Spirit in all people and in all things. In addition to enjoying being a guest speaker, she loves teaching, especially when a student has an “Aha!” moment. At those moments, she is fond of quoting Winnie the Pooh, “I get where I’m going by walking away from where I was.”

Jackson shares his stories in finding Center for Spiritual Living principles in playing and listening to music.

Jackson Rauch has been the Director of Music for over 10 years at the Center for Spiritual Living Prescott. A master musician on the keyboard, he travels across the country playing cerebral jams for the masses and blowing people’s minds.

A lifelong spiritual seeker, Barakat Carolynn Bryan has been on the Sufi path for over three decades. She served as a Hospice nurse for 30 years, and often incorporated music into her ministrations, having studied music from the age of 5. Now retired, she serves as a spiritual guide in the Sufi Ruhaniat International Order.

Each day we awake to the possibilities of new adventures, even if the calendar suggests another day of texts, emails, meetings, phone calls, meals, errands, laundry and back to sleep.

“The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep”

Rumi was referring to the habit of sliding back into circumstance. Back into the same old, same old. Join in the conversation of discerning and knowing the Truth (capital T). In doing so, you give yourself the gift of greater freedom by asking simple questions of your thoughts. “Can I know if this is true?”

Sensei Jonathan grew up in a Jewish family. As an adult, he worked as a motion picture film editor.

In 2008 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and started practicing Zen to cope with the cancer diagnosis. He became ordained as a Zen priest and verified as a Transmitted Zen teacher. This year, in 2023, he moved to Prescott and started the Prescott Zendo. 

Sensei Jonathan is currently teaching Zen at Yavapai College.

A L O H A.  A Hawai'ian word with which most of us are familiar. It is most commonly understood to mean "hello," "goodbye" and "love." Actually, this simple word has a multitude of meanings, and the Aloha Spirit is infused with even deeper meaning and represents qualities that we could all embrace to experience more kindness, inner peace and harmony in our world.
