IDENTIFY, DE-MYSTIFY, AND EMPOWER: COUNTERING DISINFORMATION

This episode is with our guest who is anonymous to protect their identity. In this episode, we discuss disinformation in the Ukraine war in connection with the information systems employed by the Russian and Ukraine populations and how people connect with each other during the war. 

In this episode we discuss the trends of disinformation from within Russia. We also touch on how Russia employs mainstream media in propagating the war.

In this episode, Professor Cecil Rosner highlights the strategic ways to identify misinformation on online resources. This episode includes an analysis of the recognition of the cognitive biases we all have as humans, as well as a few specific tools and techniques we can all use to better navigate the flood of news stories and social media posts we encounter daily.
