His persistence and willingness to learn led him to contribute to open-source projects, which became the foundation of his career in Bitcoin.
Kody emphasized the importance of working on open-source projects as a way to gain experience with the technology used by companies in the Bitcoin industry. He shared his experience working on Fedimint, an open-source protocol for building federated e-cash mints, which eventually translated into a role at Fedi, a company building on top of Fedimint.
Throughout the episode, Kody provided valuable insights into the hiring process at Fedi, highlighting the importance of mission alignment and the ability to tackle problems persistently. He also shared opportunities for junior developers to get involved with Fedimint through Base58's Bitcoin Developer course, offering a pathway for those looking to break into the Bitcoin development space.
