The Google 3-Pack is how Google displays the top results for a local business search. Google considers three local businesses to be sufficiently relevant, prominent, and close in proximity to the user. The results include a map of the three Google Business Profile listings. Right there, you can see everything related to Google My Business. This is where you list your services, your hours, and your location.
When someone searches for an Optometrist, this is probably what they will click on 65 to 70% of the time. First, they'll want to know where you are located because they're going to pick something near either school, work, or their homes.

Reviews on Google come up with useful information and help your business stand out. We look at the importance of reviews from two different perspectives. First, we read their reviews because we want to know the user experience. Second, we realize how important it is to have reviews for our search engine optimization, so we wanted to see how we rank on Google My Business.
As we search for Optometrists in Squamish, you will be able to see three companies showing up and that is what we call the Google 3-Pack. And you're probably wondering, why does optimized show up above Garibaldi Eye Care. There are lots of different reasons for it, including how well everything's optimized.
Garibaldi Eye Care is one of our clients. The only reason that they're showing up as number two is that they only have 30 reviews and the other one is 280 reviews. This is a brand new clinic. They only opened up six months ago and getting more reviews is just going to take time. So I don't expect them to show up in number one for a while. But they still have 35-star reviews. This is especially important because it impacts the user experience. In other words, even though they're showing up in number two, they might still attract clicks to the website to read reviews.
So when it comes to reviews, numbers are important, and Google has said that even a negative review still helps your rankings.

When it comes to posting, you have to think of Google My Business as a social profile. It kind of goes back to the days of Google Plus, and now, Google has decided that consistent posting is part of their algorithm.
There are some opinions on the frequency of when and where you should post and what you should post. BrightLocal, a tool we use to keep an eye on clients' rankings, citations, and Google My Business, has a wonderful post guideline that they've published in September of 2021. Originally, posts used to expire seven days after posting, but this was removed in January of 2021. And now, when you post, it will just stay up there. When you post, one of the things that Google likes to see is that your page is updated. There is some controversy like what I've said earlier, and what we do is share what we use on Facebook to Google My Business.
Many people will say you're not supposed to do that, but in my data, I have never found a negative impact on rankings by doing this. That said, I don't have the data for the thousands of locations that BrightLocal can pull anonymously. What I would do is follow what they say even though there's a little bit more flexibility, in my opinion.

PRO TIP: You want to make sure your business information is correct. The key is to make sure your business information (address, contact details, and company name) is the same across everything: across the entire web, the same on your website, and any directories like BBB, yellow pages, and Google My Business.

Online advertising is easy. You just place an ad on Google and start generating leads instantly, right? Well, not exactly. It sure would be nice if you got strong Google ads results and Google ads leads right away but it rarely works that way.
You might be able to shortcut the time if you’re selling products in a competitive space and you want to do deep discounts – like 75% off. Otherwise, it typically takes time.
So, how long does it take before you start seeing the kind of Google ads results you want? It depends on the kind of results you want. You may see increased traffic fairly quickly, but we think the Google ads results you want are conversions.
