Don't worry about what is happening around you, just follow Jesus. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Do what God wants you to do, do not look at what others are or aren't doing. Don't fall for peer pressure to be something you are not. We must follow the leading of the Lord. What does God want us to be? To be like Jesus.

We are revived for a purpose. Revival is an ongoing process, a consistent process of staying renewed. Jesus changes us to make us a weapon of war to pull down the strong holds in our lives but also to impact our community because we have power over all the enemy. We are the revival and it is our every day walk with God that makes things happen.

In this special joint service with The New Beginning Spanish church, Pastor Leroy Weymouth, with the help of interpreter Naomi, delivers a powerful message on going through trials with the help of God. As we go through the trials, with the help of God, we will come through as pure gold.

Saint Claire Sterling gave us a message today talking about the advancements of technology and our ever changing world. He reminded us that with all the distractions and things vying for our time in our world, that we must not forget Jesus, and that we need to prioritize time with Him.

There is hope in Jesus and the second coming. We need hope to do the work of Jesus. The harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few. Those that endure to the end will be saved. Be wary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap. Only works with the right heart, attitude, and motive will be rewarded. Be ready, He is coming soon, so look up, our hope comes from the Lord. Have hope that we can reach the lost.

A miracle is a supernatural touch from God. Today is the day for your miracle. Everything must bow to the name of Jesus. The impotent man at the pool of Bethesda is an example that Jesus wants us to respond to our issues. The woman with blood issues acted on her faith to get healed. The man with the withered hand acted on Jesus' command and shows that Jesus cures our spiritual witheredness too. These examples show that Jesus wants to heal us and we need to act with faith to receive our miracle.

The Holy Spirit mirrors Christ and the Holy Spirit lives within us. The Holy Spirit is to our advantage. The Holy Spirit is not an inferior substitute to Jesus, instead He mirrors Christ, and with Him we represent Christ on earth. We need the Holy Spirit to supercharge our lives and to mold us to be more like Jesus.

Jesus has risen! The Stone is rolled away! The tomb is empty! Easter is all about our risen Savior. The resurrection does three things:

1) Signifies that Jesus is the Son of God and the Lord of the Universe.

2) Declares that Satan's power is broken and he is defeated.

3) Shows the reality of God's power.

The entire Bible points towards Jesus. The power and majesty of God, in Jesus, laid down His life for us, to save us and be the author and finisher of our faith. Another way to look at it is Jesus is the originator and initiator of our faith. God gives us the desires of our heart and one of them is to grow our faith. We grow our faith by keeping our focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

All the great acts in the Bible were committed by faith. They are a cloud of witnesses of the acts of faith. We should be a witness for what God can do. Walk in the Spirit and you will fulfill the desires of the Spirit because we walk by faith and not by sight.

Our purpose is to do God's will and plan. Like the apostle Paul, we will have opposition in our lives while doing God's will. Nevertheless, God will protect us and guide us through our trials as long as we stay in God's will and plan for our lives.

Acts 27

Jesus makes somebodies out of nobodies. What would life be like without love? Jesus is saying, "I care and I love you." God's love for us is that while we were still sinners He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for Us. Just as Jesus is saying, "I care," we should be showing the love of Jesus to others and let them know that we care. In fact, we are all saved because someone else cared.

Pastor Coon shared that just as Christ's commitment was to God, His obedience is to His walk, so our commitment to Jesus is our obedience to our walk. As we follow Jesus, we will have the fullness of Christ, we will deny ourselves, and yield our entire person to our walk. It is an ongoing act of sanctification. Pastor Coon also shared with us the cycle of sin and how we must be vigilant, closing the door to temptations. Finally, Pastor Coon also shared with us the cycle of commitment, that strengthens our relationship with Jesus.

Happiness is tied to our circumstances, but joy is dependent on knowing Jesus. Joy is a by-product of Jesus in our life. Jesus is the source of joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. In our sorrows we can still have the joy of the Lord. We might not always but happy, but we can always rejoice in the Lord.

Jesus didn't come to earth to do His own will, but to do the will of Him that sent Him, God. The father dwells in Jesus and does God's work. This was the most important thing to Jesus, to do His father's will. If Jesus took God's will so seriously, so should we.

John 6:38

Freedom and healing comes from the name of Jesus. There is no other name that can save us. All we need is the name of Jesus to set people free, the name that is above all names. The name of Jesus decrees the finished work on the cross and that every knee shall bow. Because of the cross, we have the inheritance and legal authority to use the name of Jesus.

Today, Jonathan Edwards talked about knowing the Holy Spirit. We do not have to navigate life on our own. The Holy Spirit, The Comforter, is with us. He is the same Spirit of God that raised Christ from the dead. We can be a true representative of Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit. The keys to knowing the Holy Spirit is to first, seek the person, and then see the power. Striving to never leave the presence of God will allow us to demonstrate the Power of God. Secondly, fresh anointing, assistance, and knowing will occur as we continually seek the Holy Spirit.

John 14, 15, 16

The Holy Spirit has a mind, intellect, will, and emotion. We can hurt the feelings of the Holy Spirit. If we treat others badly, we grieve the Holy Spirit. This includes lying and being angry towards others. We must be Spirit controlled and walk in the Spirit. When we do, we do not have to worry about hurting the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4

In this sermon, Laura shares with us the history of Abraham, his visit with the Lord and the angels, Lot's decisions, and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and compares it to what Jesus said to His disciples in Luke 17 and the coming of the two witnesses in Revelation. The days of the coming of the Lord are like the days of Lot and we must draw our strength from God and be ready for God's glory and His return.

We don't need to carry our worries with us. God wants us to give everything over to Him. Matthew 6:25-24 reminds us to put our trust in God and not in our own abilities and knowledge. When we focus on our own abilities and knowledge, we open the door to worry. Seek heavenly things and let God take care of tomorrow. He will take care of us and the unknown.

In today's sermon, Pastor Coon concluded his series on how to look at scripture. We looked at John 15 and the textual and contextual meaning of this Word. It is all about the fruit we bear and what we do with that fruit. It's always important to uphold scripture with all the other scripture and never take it out of context.

Tonight, Pastor Weymouth preached on what to do when you don't know what to do. We are to do the following 4 things that are based on 2 Chronicles 20:

1. Seek God with all your heart. Remember that God operates by His promises.

2. Stand firm. Do not fight or run, stand firm. Standing firm is a process involved in our Christian walk.

3. Ready yourself to listen and obey to the Word of God.

4. Determine to give praise even before the outcome.

This morning, Laura preached on the Holy Spirit, and reminded the congregation that the Holy Spirit wants us to desire Him. We must follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our church and our lives. Just as the first Christians waited on the promise of the Holy Spirit, we must also wait on the promises of God. We were also reminded that our church was founded on the Holy Spirit and that we have had obstacles ourselves throughout the years, just as the first Christians did, but we will continue to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Today, Pastor Coon encouraged us to work with the scriptures. We must look at the scripture and be open to correction. It's important that we look at the text, the context within the book, and the overall context of the Bible.

Praying for our nations is what God wants, and for all men to be saved. Prayer can spare the wrath of God. We can change things through prayer, even if it seems evil abounds. God is looking for Christians to stand in the gap and pray.

All theology must have a clear conclusion to its meaning in order for it to be sound theology. It is easy to take scripture out of context. It must line up with the rest of scripture, and what is clearly written. Pastor Coon talks about some popular teachings that are not sound doctrine according to the Word of God. We also look at scripture that backs our need to read the Word and take the Word of God as absolute truth.

Pastor Weymouth continued his sermon on the 10 commandments with the 5th commandment. Honor your father and mother starts the commandments that deal with our relationship with others. Honoring your father and mother is all about preserving your home. Only love can build a good home. The benefits to honoring your father and mother consists of having a long life, a good life, a right life, and it pleases the Lord. We honor our father and mother by:

1. Being Obedient

2. Being Helpful

3. Being Respectful

4. Being Grateful

5. Heeding Their Counsel

6. Living Honorable

Today, Pastor Coon emphasized the importance of focusing on the Word of God and what the Bible says above all. Personal messages and prophecy are great, but shouldn't be placed above the Bible, and because of that, it is important to know what the Bible says. The Bible is the most prophetic and accurate book available and it is clear enough to understand for anyone through the Holy Spirit. Let God take care of the future, focus on the present, reading God's Word, and reaching others for Christ.

Tonight, Pastor Weymouth shared with us that love conquers all. Love conquers death, sorrow, grief, pain, and heartache. God's love is what saved us through His son Jesus. Also, Pastor Weymouth encouraged us to continue to pray for things to become better. Prayer can change things.

Our 2024 goals are the aims and desires that we are seeking. We first need to put God first and seek His will. We should organize our life and know that there is a time for every purpose. We must assert ourselves and actively pursue our goals. We must live how Christ did and be an example. Lastly, we must not wait, we must start now! Happy New Year!

In today's message, Roland recaps the Christmas story and asks the question, what is the Spirit of Christmas? The true Spirit of Christmas is the Holy Spirit because Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, people can then see Jesus in us.

In the fourth message on the 10 commandments, Pastor Weymouth talks about keeping the Sabbath holy. He first explains that the New Testament church changed the holy day to the first day of the week from the last. The Lord's Day is a day of worship and rest. It is what is best for our souls and body. Without it we will stress ourselves out and anxiety will dominate. We all need rest for our souls and body.

Pastor Coon continues his teaching on how to prepare for Christmas. Last week we covered praying, reading God's word, and evangelism. This week we talked about budgets, self-discipline, resting, and enjoying Christmas.

The third commandment in the 10 commandments is to not take the Lord's name in vain. God made this commandment because He knows if we speak badly about Him, it will harm us. Just as speaking God's name in faith and power to bless others, using His name in cursing can cause destruction. God is worthy to be revered. Look at how we speak to know the condition of our heart. Use worship to practice using His name properly and we will be less inclined to use it irresponsibly.

In this sermon, Pastor Coon reminds us of things we should never forget during this time of year. We covered the P R and E of the acronym PREPARE. We must not forget to pray, read God's word, and be evangelistic. The easiest way to do these is to set our minds on things above and not on earthly things.

In the second commandment, God is saying to us, "I am your God. I love you with every part of my being. I am asking you not to have any graven images. Turn to me in times of need. Do not turn to idols, turn to me," Idols are anything that takes our focus off God. We are valuable in God's sight when we only worship Him. Worshiping idols doesn't just effect us, it can effect those around us, just like worshiping God can effect people positively. People are selling their souls for something God is freely offering. What type of image do you want to leave others?

We must represent the fruit of the spirit and have the courage to tell people where that comes from. We grow and change by spending time with Jesus. At the end of the day, did others see Jesus in you? We must be dutiful with our time with God. We must act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

Our #1 priority as believers is to make Him our priority. God is worried about the condition of your heart and your relationship with Him. The tone of the 10 commandments is urgency. God is saying to STOP doing the things that will harm us. God is here to help us and to give us hope. We never need to put anything before God.

We must go beyond our salvation and be a soul winner and worker for God. We are all able. We must have sustained and growing faith in God so we can minister to others. Use your own personal testimony to witness to others.

The ten commandments are a love letter to the Israelites. There are three important things to keep in mind when discussing the ten commandments.

1. Context - The 10 commandments is all about the Father's love. God delivered the Israelites from Egypt and the 10 commandments are a reminder of what God did for them.

2. God Knows Best - Our father always has a plan. God gave us the 10 commandments to protect us and in love because he doesn't want anything to hurt us. God understands the consequences of sin and wants to protect us by giving us these regulations.

3. We Must Respond - We must prepare ourselves to hear what the Lord has to say. There is a seriousness in the purpose of the 10 commandments.

God never stops giving himself to people but sin can stop us from receiving. That is why we must take the 10 commandments seriously.

Temptation and trials can increase our obedience and faith or it can harm us. We live with the consequences of our decisions. We must honor God with our faithfulness. When we honor God, we will bear fruit, fruit that will last, fruit that will draw others to Jesus. That fruit becomes works because faith without works is dead.

God answers prayer beyond our expectations.

Eph 3:20

"Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think."

God is not limited to how we feel, think, or ask. Pray, ask, and believe and see God work greater than we can ever imagine.

Because of the overflow of the Holy Spirit, we can minister and touch others. We need the Holy Ghost to minister to other people. The overflow of the Holy Spirit is to edify the Body of Christ too. We must have a steady inflow of the Holy Spirit to have an outflow. We must also only bring attention to Jesus and not to us. The world and church needs us to be overflowing with the Holy Spirit.

God has called us to overcome. He promises that we can overcome anything with His help. Our victory comes from our response to the circumstances. He is able to save us to the uttermost, but we must be willing to overcome. We must be obedient in order to overcome. Also, we must stop struggling, and lay our problems at the feet of Jesus. The best way to overcome is to mix the Word of God with faith and prayer. Pray and believe to overcome all of life's situations.

2 Chronicles 20:17-26

The Lord is with you, do not fear or be discouraged. You may not know what to do, but God is with you. Give the situation to him. He will give you the plan because God is with you. Praise and worship God first in your battles. Do not be afraid, face your battles, don't run from them, believe in God.

Luke 18:1-8

We must do something to achieve a breakthrough. Jesus will not resist you when you reach out to Him. Keep on pressing in and persevering, fight the good faith. Breakthrough is coming! Utilize the Word of God to access breakthroughs in our lives.

Isaiah 60:1-3

In this great sermon by Jonathan Edwards, he reminds us that we must understand the times we are living. We are living in a time when the Glory of God will move across the world. God's light will shine through us and displace the darkness. The light shines the brightest in the darkest hour. We must remember to keep Jesus at the center of our life and the Glory of God will be released.
