Deliverance from Defilement

Deliverance from Defilement

God Remembers You

God Remembers You

God Remembered Noah in the ark. He preserved him and shut the mouth of the wild animals with him. He also sent a strong wind to make the water surrounding Noah to subside. He is the same God today. He has out you in the ark even though it's been beaten by the waters without direction but it's better than being under the water like many. He will send a strong wind to make every water surrounding you to subside in the name of Jesus.

The King's Heart

The King's Heart

Pro 21:1; “The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.”

• A king is someone that wields power, authority, and fear.

• A king is someone that holds the destiny of a person or people in his hands.

• In this passage, the king could represent a person, a system, or situation.

• Something or someone that your life and destiny depends on.

Eccl 8:4 says, “Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?”

Is there a person in your life who falls into this category?

- What are the things that represent a king in your life?

- Who are the people that represent king in your life?

- Are there people whose decisions, recommendations, or judgments will determine your life?

A king is someone who has a domain. Does someone have a domain in your life?

A king is someone who has control. Is someone controlling your life?

No matter how powerful, their hearts is in the hands of God, and he can turn it.

PRAYER:

- God, turn the heart of kings to favor me.

- God, turn the heart of anyone with control or power over my life to favor me.

- Let the system of my land favor me.

- Touch the heart of people at the helms of affairs on my matter to rule in my favor.

God turned the heart of king Artaxerxes to favor Mordecai despite Haman’s judgment and plans.

- Father, let the plan of every Haman in my life backfire. Upturn the plans of anyone that represents Haman in my life in the name of Jesus.

God that touched the heart of the king did not fear man of God to avenge the widow of her enemies.

- God, let the every ruthless heart who has control over my life be softened to favor me.

God touched the heart of Pharaoh to promote Joseph to the highest office in Egypt.

- God, touch the heart of those who rule this world to see your grace and glory in me. Give me the solution to the problem of rulers of this world so that they would seek you through me, Oh Lord.

- Touch the heart of those in authority on my behalf.

- Let those who sit to determine my case, my future, my life be favorable to me Oh Lord, in Jesus; name.

- Let every system and law that is made to work against me and to destroy me begin to work to my favor in the name of Jesus.

Prayer of Remembrance and Honor

Prayer of Remembrance and Honor

Prayer of Remembrance and Honor Using the book of Est 6:1-3:

"On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him."

Does God Profit From Your Gift?

Does God Profit From Your Gift?

In this morning devotion, we give a closer look at the parable of the talent. The master gave the people certain talents for a purpose. When he returned, expected them to have made profit with it. The least gift he gave anyone was one. Do you know your gift and have you traded with it enough to give God profit or would you wait to experience the same response God gave to the man that did not use his gift? "

Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Take the Dross Away

Take the Dross Away

Pro 25:4:Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.

We are like silver, gold, or diamond. The dross (impurities) is the narratives the world feeds into us that we are inadequate and not good or beautiful enough. This makes many to try make up, make over, etc, to conform to the standard the world has created as good.

The Bible says we are beautifully and wonderfully made and all that God created are good. When we shot off the voice and the narrative of the world and we embrace who we are and whom God says we are, the real us, beautiful and wonderful in all areas will come out. We "shall come forth a vessel for the finer."

It's time we take the dross away so that we can shine like diamond and silver.

Victory Over the Flesh

Victory Over the Flesh

Apostle Paul lamented in Rom 7:15: "I do not understand what I do; for I don't do what I would like to do, but instead I do what I hate." He goes further in verse 19: "I don't do the good I want to do; instead, I do the evil that I do not want to do."

In this edition of morning devotion, we look into how we can be free from this type of situation.

Idle Words

Idle Words

We look into the power of our words according to Jesus in Mat 12:36-37: "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned"

God used the word to create the world. The word we speak has so much power that they can justify or condemn us here on earth and in the last days.

Free From Sin and Law

Free From Sin and Law

The Bible says in Col 2:13-14 that Jesus has quickened (raised us up) together with him when we were dead in our sins and uncircumcision. This means he has given us victory over sins and laws working against us when he (quickened) raised us up and made us to sit together with him.

Know that you have been delivered and set free from every (besetting) sin you are currently struggling with in your life right now. You already have the victory over every negative laws from your family lineage, system, tribe, government, and so on working against you and preventing from experiencing victory and freedom in your life. But if you don't confess and appropriate this freedom, the enemy will attempt to keep you under servitude, but indeed, you are free, the Son of God has set you free, and "If the Son has therefore set you free, you are free INDEED." it's time you claim your freedom over sin and the negative laws that has bound you.

"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses" (Col 2:13-14).

Loose your Donkey

Loose your Donkey

In Mat 21:1-3, Jesus instructed his disciples to go bring a cult that would take him on his triumphal entry. He told them if the donkey is tied, they should loose it, and if anyone asked them why they were loosing or taking the donkey away, they should tell them, the Lord has need of it.

The donkey is the means that would take Jesus to his destiny. What is your donkey? Do you know it and where it is? Is it tied down somewhere? Who is questioning why you are loosing it?

This morning devotion helps you to pray through these questions so that you can locate your donkey, loose it, and shut the mouth of anyone questioning your authority loosing the donkey.

We have his eyes and ears

We have his eyes and ears

Bible Verse and Quote for Today:

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? (1Pet 3:12-13).

It’s comforting to know that God's eyes watches over us and he listens to our prayers despite our unrighteousness.

Sometimes, we don’t feel it and we fall into condemnation from our heart or from the enemy because of our sins and shortcomings. But the Holy Spirit does not condemn us, he convicts us so that we can repent, confess, and ask for forgiveness.

Our righteousness is not dependent on our good deeds but the righteousness of Jesus. It’s an imputational righteousness based on his justification, and this sanctifies us, and puts us in “right standing” before God.

Because we are right standing before God, he watches over us, to protect, guide, and direct us. He watches over our household and everything about us. He listens to our prayers, our thoughts, our sighings. He loves us that much.

Let us come boldly to his throne with this confidence knowing that he loves and cares for us.

True Blessing

True Blessing

What is true blessing?

Many have been misled by what some leaders have misrepresented to them as true blessing. Many believers have been fed with the wrong narrative and have been sucked into believing that they are not blessed because they don't have these things. Material things, money, positions, etc, hardly qualify as blessing when it does not come from God or serve God's purpose.

So what is true blessing?

In this devotional, the speakers highlights a few of these blessings and how to recognize, and possess them. Happy listening!

The Miraculous in the Ridiculous

The Miraculous in the Ridiculous

Text: 1Cor 2:14: "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

One of the things of the spirit that sounds foolish to the "natural man" to accept or receive is to praise God in the midst of the storm.

It sounds so ridiculous because it is the time of great displacement for many, where people run helter-skelter and justifiably so.

But the Bible is full of situations and circumstances where God requests people who are in the eye of the storm to do ridiculous things.

More often than not, what usually follows after the obedience to do the ridiculous is always the miraculous. But it is difficult for people "the natural man," or Christians whose faith is weak to receive such message while in the midst of the storm. However, if you do not do the ridiculous, you may not get the miraculous.

Listen to this morning devotion about the miraculous in the ridiculous.

Sufficient and Overflow

Sufficient and Overflow

As you set out today, run with this Bible verse in 2Cor 9:8: "And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause"

This means, the Lord will bring resources: human, material, spiritual, financial, etc., so that you will have:

1. Sufficient: enough for yourself

2. Overflow: to share with others

3. Good Cause: to begin something of benefit to your community.

All in Jesus' name.

A Greater Covenant

A Greater Covenant

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.) Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD? And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you. And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel, Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD'S oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul. (2Sa 21:1-7).

The Power of Resurrection

The Power of Resurrection

Php 3:10: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.

Despite Paul knew Jesus, he still said he wanted to know him. This knowing is about knowing that special power that could raise a man from the dead. If you haven't encountered that power, you really haven't known him yet. Knowing him means also knowing the power that raised him from the dead and also experiencing the blessing of his sufferings on the cross.

Write Your Psalm

Write Your Psalm

Let us reflect the blessings of God in our lives for the outgoing month.

What better way to do that than to hear from David. A man who knew how to give thanks and praise to God on every occasion

Let’s read from Psalm 103.

David begins by saying in Psa 103:1-2: "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits"

It’s a reminder for all of us to also take time reflect on the past months.

The blessings, provisions, protection, mercies, and kindness of God.

How would you THANK the Lord for his kindness to you and your household in the month of March?

Many did not survive. So many evils yet God is faithful to us and our household.

As we come to the end of the month of March today, think on:

  • Many dangers the Lord shielded you from
  • Many arrows the Lord protected you from
  • Many complications, lies of the enemy, judgments, evil report, etc,

God has been faithful to you, your home, your health, family, children, parents, everything.

Take time to appreciate him for all this.

Let’s look at how David did it.

Psa 103:3-5:  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

-       Forgiveness: Who forgiveth all thineiniquities;

-       Health: Who healeth all thy diseases;

-       Death: Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;

-       Blessing: Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

-       Provisions: Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Sing a song of thanksgiving and praise from your heart to God this morning.

What we call the Psalm of David is actually a song, a poem, a rendition, etc.

You also hear “the song of Solomon.”

You also sing a song to him today.

Write something down and say, Lord, I thank you for watching over my and my home…

The God of Your Situation

The God of Your Situation

In Psalm 18:25-26, the Psalmist says, "With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward."

What this means is that God will manifest himself to you in the situation your present yourself to him.

So, if you present yourself as poor, or weary, strong, dying, or happy, he will present himself just like that. i.e. you will see him that way.
Paul says in 2Cor 13:11: "Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

God is called several names in the Bible, God of comfort, God of joy, God of peace, God of mercies, God of vengeance, God of glory, God of grace, and so on. He is also God of vengeance, God of war, etc. He is the God of your situation. If you come to God with comfort, peace, joy, he will be the God of comfort, peace, joy, and so on to you. If you come to him as the God of solution, that is what he will be to you. If you approach him as a fearful God that can kill and destroy, he will appear to you and deal with you as such.

Paul says if you "farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace," God will manifest himself exactly like the God of those things to you. It is important to know how we approach God because that is what he will present himself to us.
Some people approach God with complaint and murmuring. God hates murmuring. He was ready to eradicate Israel for murmuring against Moses. He in fact destroyed and crushed Israel for murmuring and that was why we are warned not murmur in 1Cor 10:10: "Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer."

Let us learn to approach God with the right mindset even if we are passing through a terrible situation. Life and death are in our tongue, and our mind is so powerful it reflects and mirror God to us in the way we present our situation to him. That is why the Bible says "let the weak say I am strong and let the poor say I am rich". Every time we approach God, let us pray the solution and not the problem. Let us magnify God and the solution, not magnify our situation as if we are looking for pity. It's OK to cry and shed tears in prayer but we must understand that God is not an emotional God; he does not watch over our tears, even though they are precious to him but he watches over his words in our mouth and how our heart trusts him (Jer 1:12).

Hannah kept praying for several years for a child but her prayer was full of complaints of how others were treating her and how desperate she needed a child to show to people she was not a barren. She got nothing until she changed her prayer to praying the solution rather than pray the problem. Let us learn to say more about what we want than what we are passing through. Even though we see it as the reality, our minds interprets it as murmuring and lack of faith, and without faith, we cannot get anything  from God. Talk more about the solutions, not the problem. Confess. Believe. Have a positive mindset. All these will strengthen your faith to receive from God.

Don't mourn over your situation, rather talk to it. Jesus told his disciples, "if you shall say to this mountain..." We are called to call things that are not as if they are, and they will be, that is faith. Stop dressing your situation, start to address it. Call it the name you want them to be and that is what they will be.

The Prayer of Quickening

The Prayer of Quickening

Psa 143:11: Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

Quickening may sound like an old King James word and may obscure the true meaning, the power of the word and prayer of David. But when we break it down, it will begin to dawn on us that it is the prayer we need ourselves.

Here is an exposition of what the word mean and how to pray it with application not only to our life, but our body, health, and home.

Keep Standing and Keep Moving

Keep Standing and Keep Moving

We need God’s power to keep standing and keep moving even when we feel like giving up.

In 1Kings 19:1-4: Prophet Elijah just performed a mighty miracle by engaging the prophet of Baal in a contest and defeated them. But despite the great achievement, he feared for his life when Jezebel, the prophetess of Baal threatened to kill him. He became so weary, tired and frustrated that he retreated into the wilderness and abandoned his servant. The Bible records that, "...when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers."

You may also be weary, tired, and feel like giving up just like Elijah. Or may be there's a Jezebel threatening, frustrating, making your life a living hell. Your Jezebel could be system, debt, financial issue, health, family, spiritual or something more personal, all you need is to do what Elijah did that restored him.

Let there be… Deploying Biblical Code to Activate Situation Change

Let there be… Deploying Biblical Code to Activate Situation Change

Text: Mat 12:35: A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

We can know the type of person you are by the quality of words you speak. i.e. the type of words that come out of your mouth is a window to know what is in your heart.

During provocation, what words are you most likely to respond with?

When we understand the power and dynamics of words, we will begin to use it for a good purpose.

Pro_18:21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

What does this mean? All deaths!!! All lifes!!! Begins with words!!!

All deaths and lifes begins with Words from your own mouth.

What you say about yourself matter more than what others speak or say about you.

Jesus asked his disciple: What do people say about me? Who do people think I am? He then asked them, “What do YOU say about me? YOU matter more than them.

What you say about yourself matter more than what others speak or say about you.

In Genesis, God said, “let there be…”

It was what God said that transformed the situation not what the situation present.

Before he said “let there be…” what happened?

How was the earth?

Gen 1:2: And the earth was:

- without - form, and - void;

- and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

But God said in Gen 1:3, “Let there be light: and there was light”

Let there be and there was.

Have you ever said something like that when you are in the same situation?

To many of us, Gen 1vs describes our lives is without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

There is nothing that happened to you, or you are passing through that God never passed through. His whole creations was in darkness, void and was formless

And he was God How can you be God when things are in disarray!

But he responded with “Let there be and there was…”

The difference is the approach and what you say about your situation.

While God said, let there be light, you are saying something else.

Some people are saying, they are dying… I’m in trouble…. Will I ever make it…. This is bad!

Your subconscious mind does not understand what you mean and what you don’t mean.

All he is looking for is what you are saying…

Pro_6:2 says Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

Another translation says, you are trapped by your own words, and caught by your own words,

What you say are so powerful. It’s a creation.

Understand that.

Every word you say is a creation.

You are a creator. Imagine that for a second!

Again life and death is in your tongue!

Except and until you change your approach to the issue and your situation, it will not change.

Changing your approach begins with changing your perception and mindset about the situation.

May be you are telling me it’s because I don’t know your situation…

That’s right… I don’t…. but whatever situation you are at right now, this is what the Bible says…

1Cor 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Can your situation change?

Well. God asked a man of God the same questions:

Eze 37:1-3: The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Can you answer that question in your life?

What is the source code of your mountain?...

Prepare for the Harvest: Answering the who, what, why, how, and when questions about biblical sowing and reaping.

Prepare for the Harvest: Answering the who, what, why, how, and when questions about biblical sowing and reaping.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again (Luke 6:38).

Some people think that giving means losing something, but as Christians, we know that giving is actually a window to receive. Giving itself is one of the greatest blessings we can receive.

Just like any other laws of God, the way to be great is to be small, the way to be a leader is to be a servant. The way to live is to die, the way to receive is to give.

Who Should You Give to?

-       First to God. Give thanks, praises, worship, adoration, offering to your God. He deserves it. “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness” (Psa29:2).

-       Give to the household of Faith. Paul says, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Gal6:10).

-       Give to your spouse, children, family members, loved ones, friends, colleagues, neighbors, co-workers, even yourself. Pro3:27 says, “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.”

-       Give to those in need; widows, orphans, the poor, etc. Pro 19:17 says, “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world” (Jas 1:27).

What Can You Give?

Give thanks to God as if you are giving him something physical.

Be intentional with it.

Give money, encouragement, appreciation, and so on.

Give your time, presence, ears, etc.

Be sincere with it.

Be a candle. One candle can light a thousand candles without losing its own light or shine.

The Blessing of Giving

Aside from the fact that giving gives us a deep sense of satisfaction and contentment, it is also a way God uses to bless us. Act20:35 says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Remember, whatever you give will come back to you in “good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over.” Paul says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal 6:7).

Also, don’t forget that “with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”

So, give bountifully, so you’d give bountifully. If you give sparingly, you will receive bountifully (2Cor 9:6). It’s like what the writer of the book of Ecclesiastes says, “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days” (Ecc 11:1).

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

One thing is sure, when you give, you will always receive, it is a law! That is why you should give every time you have the opportunity to give. It’s like sowing.

You may find it a bit difficult to sow at the beginning, but the joy is when the harvest comes. Yield to the wisdom of Ecclesiastes that says, “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good” (Ecc 11:6).

This is what the book of Proverbs has to say, “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.  The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself” (Pro 11:24-25).

It is the planting season, it is time to give, for the harvest is coming.

Prepare for a bountiful harvest – be generous!

Start giving today!

Prepare for the Harvest.

Praise Your Way Through the Gates

Praise Your Way Through the Gates

Psa 100:4: "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name."

What is the significance of Gate and Court?

Gates are a barrier to check/control entry.

It can be for good or for bad.

Some people pass through the gate of hell and destruction, others pass through the gates to their blessing.

Whatever gate you are passing through now, God has promised you victory.

Psa 107:16: "For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder."

So, praise God for the victory he gave you in whatever gate that you are in.

Every gate of hell/ failure / sadness / stumbling / limitations are lifted in Jesus name

The Psalmist says enter his courts with Praise.

Court is a place of judgement.

Court can be a place of victory or damnation.

What has brought you to the court of heaven to bring you damnation?

The Bible says: Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He brings us before the court of heaven (Rev 12:10).

It could be shame, joblessness, lack, failure, difficulty, challenge, confusion, etc

Don’t panic!

Why?

God is the judge.

And you have a lawyer… Jesus. He is your advocate – He defends us in the court of heaven to give us victory

1Jn 2:1  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Whatever gate that is before you or the court that you are in, give thanks to God because He has given you victory through Jesus.

Therefore, praise your way through the gates and courts as you go into the weekend.
