Today we discuss how "A Standard Deal" Contract effect creative or artistic control by using the example of Ice Cube's film franchise "Fridays". Cube has accused "New Line Cinema" (Warners Bros. Studios) of bad faith by not green-lighting several proposed scripts. Cube would like to gain back creative control of the franchise. On the other hand New Line says they have been following the terms of their agreement. What could have been done at the beginning of the contract to avoid this problem? Who is to blame?
