Mascenic Regional School District - Variety of Podcasts

Highbridge Hill Elementary School has an afterschool program in the spring called HEEP. There are multiple activities for the students to choose from. This spring, Ms. Lancaric offered podcasting as one of the activity choices. A handful of interested students, from 2nd-grade to 4th-grade, decided to give it a try. In just 4 afternoons, these six talented minds were able to make their own segment for the first podcast at HHES! With such limited time, Ms. Lancaric was so impressed with the variety of ideas, teamwork within the grade levels, time management, afterschool focus, and effort they put into producing this podcast. It was so fun! Hopefully, they'll continue on to make some more on their own. Enjoy listening!

Mrs. Pope's 5th grade class created this podcast about Colonial life. After the students formed their groups, they chose a topic, researched, and wrote a segment for the Colonial Collective. With collaboration and time management, these groups each produced a creative segment for the podcast in the format of their choice. Turn back time while you listen to a variety of topics that will give you a visual impression of life during the Colonial days. Enjoy!

Mrs. Hill's sixth-graders are back!  They have created this second podcast filled with an assortment of topics.  Each group was required to pick a topic, research the topic, and choose the writing style/genre.  They edited their writing and chose how to present it.  It took a lot of teamwork, collaboration, and time management in order to come up with a successful segment for this podcast.  The results are amazing!  Enjoy listening to the variety of creative segments these students have produced!
