World Whistleblowers Day 2023 Webinar
On 23rd June 2023 Protect and #Whistleblowing International Network (WIN) partnered to host the #Worldwhistleblowersday #webinar titled 'Paying People to do the Right Thing: The pros and cons of adopting US-style #whistleblower rewards programmes.'
The online event was facilitated by Elizabeth Gardiner, Chief Executive of Protect and chaired by Anna Myers, Executive Director of WIN. Plus other speakers on the panel included Professor Giancarlo Spagnolo, Professor of Economics and Professor Wim Vandekerckhove, Professor of Business Ethics.
The discussion examined why a whistleblowing reward approach is common in the #USA , but largely resisted in #Europe, unpacking the pros & cons of such an approach.
