World Whistleblowers Day 2023 Webinar

On 23rd June 2023 Protect and #Whistleblowing International Network (WIN) partnered to host the #Worldwhistleblowersday #webinar titled 'Paying People to do the Right Thing: The pros and cons of adopting US-style #whistleblower rewards programmes.'

The online event was facilitated by Elizabeth Gardiner, Chief Executive of Protect and chaired by Anna Myers, Executive Director of WIN. Plus other speakers on the panel included Professor Giancarlo Spagnolo, Professor of Economics and Professor Wim Vandekerckhove, Professor of Business Ethics.

The discussion examined why a whistleblowing reward approach is common in the #USA , but largely resisted in #Europe, unpacking the pros & cons of such an approach.

Preventing Whistleblower Victimisation Guide Launch and Panel Discussion

Preventing Whistleblower Victimisation Guide Launch and Panel Discussion

Victimisation of whistleblowers is rife in the UK. Roughly 65% of whistleblowers who contact our advice line are abused for speaking up at work. At this event, NHS Whistleblower, Helene Donnelly OBE, Global Head of anti-corruption at Oxfam, Andy Watson and Natwest Head of Speak Up, Andy Noble explore why protecting whistleblowers is so vital for public safety.

They also discuss our new Preventing Whistleblower Victimisation guide for employers which provides practical advice for organisations to prevent abuse of whistleblowers in their workplaces.

The Preventing Whistleblower Victimisation Guide is now on sale, 10% off until 30 Sep 2023. It will help you understand how to risk assess for victimisation and respond effectively. Purchase your copy of the guide today at https://bit.ly/450ikh6
