For the One... Rising from the Ashes
For the woman who feels like her heart is a battlefield. Your heart is weighed down with tension or heaviness. Maybe you look around and just see loss; unmet expectations. Despair and disappointment.
You’re grieved. Drained. Burned out. Confused.
Maybe you feel like your life is the battlefield and you’re getting hit with the shrapnel. From a toxic job, a circle of drama at church, conflict with your kids or your husband.
I’ve thought a lot about his word ‘ashes.’ It paints a picture of something getting lit on fire and endlessly burning until there is nothing left.
I’m hearing that there are quite a few women in that place; feeling stuck in the ashes.
From personal experience, in the throws of navy seal mommy boot camp, I met the middle of a valley filled with ashes. I was at the end of myself in every way possible... and then the 'suddenly' of God showed up.
If you need a strong dose of empathy, compassion and a prophetic word to get your heart hoping again, this episode is all yours love.
There is a fresh word from the Lord in this season to see what He sees and to say what He is saying about your life. There is a fresh wind to rise again.

For the One Feeling Left Behind
A heart-to-heart conversation for the woman who feels like she's been left behind. It seems lately like so many women are experiencing massive transitions; like friends moving away, entering first-time motherhood, and seeing their coworkers get promoted. And in the wake of all this change, we can feel abandoned. Lonely. And straight up left behind.
So this week on the podcast, I want to encourage the woman who finds herself in a lonely place. The woman who keeps dreaming of past seasons and friends she used to have. The woman who feels stuck between who she was and who she is becoming.
This is your bold encouragement for this season. You are seen and wildly loved. And while you may feel left behind, you are not forgotten.

For the One Called to Create (With Guest, Jackie Wachter)
Calling all Creatives; gardeners, artists, musicians, small shop owners...
Creativity and the Kingdom of God go hand-in-hand. As creatives, we are called to steward ideas, inspiration, and the very talents God has woven into our DNA. But it's a process that takes care and cultivation.
We've got Jackie Wachter on the podcast today; founder of FOUNT Leather Goods based in Cleveland Ohio. She's unraveling her story of honing in her drive for fashion and discovering God in the middle of what she thought were simply childhood passions.
Maybe, creative, you've been in a dry season and need a fresh reminder of your calling. You've hit some roadblocks and you need a big sister in faith or a seasoned mentor to come alongside you and remind you why what you do is essential in your faith.
Meet Jackie Wachter. She is the Creative Director and CoFounder (along with her husband Phillip - CEO) of FOUNT, a Cleveland based luxury leather goods brand. The couple started the brand in 2014 in their Cleveland Heights apartment. FOUNT has since grown to five brick and mortar store locations and counting. The word FOUNT by definition means “An abundant source of desirable quality.” That’s exactly what they are striving to create through their heirloom bags, which are constructed from all Italian leather and solid brass hardware, made with fair trade practices, and come with a lifetime guarantee.

For the One the Enemy Stole From
What do you do when the enemy steals from you?
Maybe you've been stolen from lately by the enemy. He stole your joy, your hope, an idea or a relationship. Now you feel violated in deepest way, something was taken from you without your permission.
You're sad. Angry. Defeated. Hopeless.
The full range of emotions.
Coming from my story, I want to encourage you today with some deeply personal insights from a moment when I felt the enemy flat-out stole from me. May this episode bless your socks off and awaken the fighter in you.

For the One Doing Hard Things (Part One- About to do a hard thing)
You feel pulled to a decision that takes great faith. You want to step forward, but you first feel like you need to have every question answered and check every box for what could be around the corner of your yes.
Why? Because you don't want to be the one later saying, "I wish I would have known..."
I wish I would have known...how hard it was going to be, how uncomfortable it would be, how it would bring me to the end of myself.
The possibility of facing hard things often make us tap out early of profound blessings. The presence of adversity seems like an easy permission slip to opt out and sulk back into familiarity. But what if you stepped over the chicken line of this decision, without knowing what was ahead of you- trusting that the blessing is worth it and the adversity won't take you out?
You are made for hard things.

For the One Who Feels Like She is Too Much (With Guest, Allison Roche)
'It’s not that big of a deal. You’re being dramatic. Settle down.'
If your passions and emotions have ever been met with these words, I’m sorry. My guess is that those words changed you. Maybe you tried a little harder to hide those tears next time, or you composed yourself before sharing your exciting news.
The passion, excitement, and emotions that feel “too much” are the very things that are going to enable you to do what God has called you to do, but more importantly, to be who God has called you to be.
Let’s find our childhood wonder again. Let’s unleash the dreams we’ve been keeping safe in our “just enough” boxes. Let’s boldly step into the woman, powerhouse, and leader that God has called us to be.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re “too much,” this one’s for you.
We've got a guest on the podcast this week: the lovely Allison Roche! Allison is a daydreamer and documentary watcher. She’s a wife, a mama, and homebody. Most of all, she’s a story listener, story teller, and a lover of change. She always has candles burning, music playing, and if you stay too long, she’ll ask your whole life story. Allison is a photographer, gatherer of women, and overall vessel who just wants God to use her in any way He sees fit.

For the One Who Lost Pieces of Herself
As of late, you've been feeling a little one note. Almost like there is a part of you that's missing; a part of your personality, a passion, or quality.
Suddenly, you are aware of this missing piece of you- a part that hasn't seen the light of day in quite some time.
You realize there is a piece of you lost. Maybe she got left during a hard season. Maybe she got ditched when you got promoted, or your life dramatically changed. But here you stand in life, acutely aware that you aren't fully yourself. And man, now that you think of it, you're exhausted not being fully you.
This episode is the brush-the-dust conversation; a pulling off the shelf parts of you long forgotten and a brushing of the dust to fully live who God has made you to be. (And spoiler- maybe this missing part of you is huge piece of your current purpose.)

For the One Becoming Fiercely Present
Your head hits the pillow every night and you are wiped. You did all the things throughout the day, but you still feel utterly disconnected from your life. It's like your heart barely gets a moment to catch up with your body before you pass out at night. You feel like your days live you, not you living your days.
2024 is a year to connect the gap between your heart and your body. To PAY ATTENTION to our lives. To live present. To hear the still small voice. To enjoy the beautiful tiny moments right in front of us.
In this episode, I'm sharing the word I sense so strongly over this year: ATTENTION. Why does it matter so much and how do we figure out what's been stealing it? This is a POWERPACKED episode you don't want to miss.

For the One Called into Ministry (Part One with Guest, Heather Margiotta)
So you feel called to ministry...
Maybe you're in the early years of ministry, or on the edge of diving in. You find yourself in the place of just figuring out what ministry looks like for you, or maybe you've pinpointed it like a dart to a bullseye.
No matter what 'ministry' looks like for you, we can all agree it's a tough career to enter into. And with rising rates of ministry burn out, it's a race many don't finish.
But that's not going to be you! You will finish strong and run the race well. In fact, this episode is MADE FOR YOU!
Our guest, Heather Margiotta, with her 17 years of ministry experience, is going to have the heart-to-heart spilling the wisdom you need to minister strong. She's sharing the raw, golden pieces of advice she wishes she was told as her 18 year old self; fresh faced and called into ministry.
You'll walk away as a better leader, servant and woman of God; ready to steward your calling well for the long haul.

For the One Burned out from Comparison
For the One Dreading the Family Gathering
The one reality we can't escape during the holidays is the annual family gatherings. Whether we are having a meal with your extended family or gift exchanges with your immediate kin, these gatherings can bring up a lot of feelings.
So how are we showing up to these supposed joyous festivities?
Are we dreading facing the family members who rejected us,
...afraid to see the cousins or aunts who assaulted us on Facebook,
...or just anxious about being asked a million questions that are actually wildly inappropriate (like the deep questions that have a much LARGER context than your mom even realizes).
While the holidays can gather the whole cast of characters and leave us feeling misunderstood, rejected, hurt, betrayed, just plain alone, there is a way through the most wonderful time of year and actually see the wonder of this celebration.
If you are in need of a conversation about the realities about what's to come at this year's family gatherings (and talk about all the reasons why it's gonna be hard), and how you can show up with a different mindset, this is the episode for you. It will leave you feeling seen, empowered and deeply hopeful about how this year can and will be different.

For the One Terrified to Make the First Move (With Guest, Kirsten Bramley)
You are reading that right... today we have our FIRST podcast guest! Kirsten has been a part of Ruah + Ember since the beginning, and her heart for the Lord is absolutely contagious. You'll just love meeting her.
This is the conversation for the woman stuck in a wrestling match she was never meant to be in. Fighting the same lies, the same struggles; feeling inadequate, un-useable, unstable. You feel so inconsistent in your relationship with God, and you stop trusting yourself. You stop trusting God. You find yourself in the ring with insecurity and shame as your opponents.
BUT, you haven’t forgotten what you are called to. You know you are called to write, you know you are called to the state or neighborhood the Lord has you. You know what God said to you on your knees 10 years ago. You know what you are supposed to do next but you are still in tension, you're still stuck in the ring, fighting a fight you were never meant to be in. We know the ring feels like home but it’s not. It’s a facade and a cage to keep you contained.
Love, that cage is straight from the enemy... and he is up to his same old schemes. The only way to get out of those tension fights is to surrender. To take the first step to Jesus over the chicken line. You might have to trust fall or swing your leg over. But it’s time to take the first step. Jesus is whispering, I’m right here. I’m inviting you into the adventure.

Kirsten resides in Olmsted Township with her husband John (aka Brams) and their cat, Moe (aka Moses, Moesby, or Meowsky). These days, she wants to be sitting by a campfire in a hammock or writing with the Lord.

For the One Pioneering Something New (With Guest, Casey Tobik)
You've been called to pioneer. Maybe that means birthing a new ministry or writing a book, or maybe for you, it means staying in a healthy marriage when all you've seen is divorce around you or breaking the ties with generational strongholds to create a healthy family line. In all of these things, you are a pioneer fashioned to bring forth something this world has yet to see.
As a pioneer, there is a unique journey to embark upon. One filled with glorious celebrations, and one marked by challenging realities. This episode is a vulnerable, peeled-back conversation with Casey Tobik, founder and director of the 24-7 Prayer Room in Cleveland, Ohio. She's unpacking all the nuggets of wisdom as a woman who pioneered a prayer space. She'll speak directly to your pioneer heart to radically boost your faith for what God has called you to this week.

For the One Sucker Punched by the Devil
You walked away from a recent victory, mountain top, or benchmark moment of encouragement, but out of the blue, you get knocked down by a cheap shot of the enemy. They call this a 'sucker punch,' and the enemy tried to make you the sucker. When you thought the battle was over and the victory won, he took another shot at you while you weren't looking. And because you were distracted, it was a much greater hit than if you saw it coming.
These are the fighting words you need from a seasoned woman of faith in the arena with you. This is the rally episode to shake the punch, recoup your focus and keep fighting!

S.2 Premier: For the One Carrying the Weight of the World
For the woman trying to hold her world in her hands: meet every need, exceed every expectation, fulfill every responsibility. She is carrying worry and anxiety with the pressure mounting within her to make all the decisions (and man, it can't just be A decision, it has to be the RIGHT decision). Not just caring for the present circumstances, but thinking ahead to cover all her bases and make up for the ones around her that 'aren't holding their weight.'
So she throws more bags on her shoulders while creating worry bags under her eyes... and she just needs relief from it all.
The truth is that all that weight wasn't intended for her shoulders and certainly wasn't made for her hands. May this episode be a timely release (if not just a ton of good tears) to bring her heart hope in the midst of heaviness and peace in the midst of grief.

For the One...Who Feels like She's Failed (Season 1 Finale!)
After seasons of letting go, we can often feel like we've failed because we had to let it go. Especially as women, we tend to think "well, why couldn’t I have kept it? Why couldn’t I have held onto the marriage or the relationship? Why couldn’t I have made that rhythm or commitment work? Why could I not have made my schedule work to fit it?"
And with a weight of anxiety and guilt, we believe in letting go we've failed. But when we let things go, it's often because we’ve outgrown it... and that means it's time to grow into what’s next. Maybe you need to hear this: you haven't failed just because you’re growing into the next season.
A special note: this is the final episode of Season 1. Join me on Wednesday, October 18 for our Season 2 kick off!
If you'd like to submit a "For the One..." title, email me at info@lauradudek.com. I'll pray into each one, and you can see if your title + message is featured in the upcoming season!

For the... Prodigal Daughter (Wind in your Sails Summer)
What does 'getting the wind back in your sails' actually mean to you? Is it going on hyperdrive and doing more for God? Checking off more boxes and cramming more in your calendar? Maybe brushing past pain and grief to keep 'doing' more for Him.
But to get the wind back, our spiritual fires roaring, we need to tend to this first. We must allow God to invade us to the deepest layers of our core. He is inviting us to behold and be held by Him. Ultimately, casting off every lie and pretension distracting us to run boldly back into His arms.
Want to get the wind back in your sails? This is a must-listen.

For the One... Believing She's Broken (Wind in your Sails Summer)
Why are we having this heart-to-heart? Because in the journey of running with the Lord, we naturally have struggles, lies, temptations that bubble to the surface of our heart. In that wrestling, we can feel like we have failed. Failed because 'here we are again." Or disqualified because we 'just can't shake this lie.' Or ashamed because 'we just can't get it together.'
Ultimately, we believe we are broken.
