#101: THE MYTH OF SISYPHUS (9: FINALE WITH JAMAL LYKSETT)

At last, we've arrived at the final installment of my series on Camus's Nobel prize winning essay, The Myth of Sisyphus. Today, I will read the final chapter of The Myth of Sisyphus, and discuss it along with other points throughout the novel with the professor who introduced me to this in the first place: Jamal Lyksett.

#89: Dryw Owens (Moxy the Band)

Dryw Owens is a multi-instrumentalist musician and producer. He is both the producer and a member of Moxy the Band. Moxy the Band recently put out their debut concept album, Dream Feeling, which incorporates '80s themes along with a futuristic, synth-wave type of sound. The album mainly covers the topic of loss (a friend moving away, a loved one passing, or being in a relationship doomed to end) and one's struggle towards overcoming it. We discussed the creative process, the flow state, following your dreams, and, of course, the concepts behind Dream Feeling and Moxy the Band. You can find Dryw Owens on Instagram @drywowens

#73: Aliens, Eric Weinstein, San Holo, roots, water, and the Tao with Daniel Torres

We both listened to the the Joe Rogan podcast episode #1945 with Eric Weinstein who had an amazing idea that went something like this:
So, there's an uncontacted tribe off the coast of India that have no idea what civilization is, have no knowledge of technology (except the boats and planes they see), and don't even know there is such a thing called "India" that owns them. So, what if we're an uncontacted planet? What if an alien civilization owns us and they simply don't let other alien civilizations contact us, including themselves.
We also discussed the artist San Holo, and talked about water and roots in context of the Tao Te Ching. Peace out. Not sponsored by Elysian brewing, but I want to be.

#67: Royce Johnson (Twilight of the Idols - Education)

Mr. Royce Johnson returns to the ITA podcast to discuss Nietzsche's Twilight of the Idols, "What the Germans Lack", aphorisms 6 and 7 on education. Royce is an English teacher at Coeur d'Alene high school, and I attended his class in my senior year. His English class served as my formal introduction to higher level philosophy, which is interesting being that Friedrich Nietzsche started off as a philologist--someone who studies language. Prior to recording the podcast, Royce suggested that I read "On Language" by George Orwell, which is an interesting essay regarding doublespeak, euphemisms, etc.
