Tidy Home Tidy ADHD Mind

Today's episode I talk you through Tidy Home Tidy Mind, a chapter out of Nicola Lewis' book Mind Over Clutter: Cleaning Your Way to a Calm and Happy Home. Nicola is a full-time de-clutterer and through her clients, seen first hand how decluttering and tidying has transformed minds, state of peace and strengthened partner relationships - just from keeping your home tidy. I discuss my old habits of binge cluttering and binge cleaning, why this lead to prolonged stress, and late nights for an ADHD mind. Why I do abit everyday to improve my stress levels.

2.0 ADHD in Women's Misunderstood Symptoms

Part 2: Continuing on, Why ADHD in Women is Routinely Dismissed, Misdiagnosed, and Treated Inadequately, a medically reviewed article by clinical psychologist Dr Ellen Littman. In this part we delve into misdiagnosis and treatment options.  ADHD is not a male disorder, but men and boys are diagnosed far more commonly than women and girls. Why? Lingering stereotypes, referral bias, internalized symptoms, gender role expectations, comorbidities, and hormonal fluctuations all complicate the ADHD presentation in women.  Derived from the ADDitude Expert Webinar “Why ADHD is Different for Women: Gender Specific Symptoms & Treatments” (ADDitude ADHD Experts Podcast episode #337) by Ellen Littman, Ph.D., which was broadcast live on December 15, 2020.  Full Article: https://www.additudemag.com/adhd-in-women-misunderstood-symptoms-treatment/
