Ep. 11 - Wait on the Lord
In Isaiah 40:31 it says, “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
All too often we find ourselves restlessly striving through life trying to “figure it out” on our own. When in reality, the Lord encourages us to be still, and wait on Him for His guidance.
In today’s episode we sit down with Anchored’s newest member Mark Eide - who is our EOC. You might be wondering what an EOC even is. Mark will cover that and the blessings in store for those who choose to wait on the Lord.
Ep. 10 - Feeding Center Opens
In the book of Titus Paul writes as he closes his letter
"Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives."
In today’s episode Pastor Gary and a special guest call in from Uganda to give us an update on the Anchor of Hope Feeding Center’s official opening there in Naluko, Uganda. They’ll discuss the urgent needs of the community and how the Anchor of Hope Feeding Center is not just meeting the physical needs to feed starving children but is also providing amazing opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus with people in need.

Ep. 9 - What Makes Good Friday Good?
Today is Good Friday but some might wonder what makes Good Friday GOOD?
In John 3:16 it says, For God so loved the world that he gave his One and Only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
Today we will be studying Titus chapter 2 as Pastor Gary breaks down why Good Friday is GOOD, and the hope we have in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
We’ll learn about how God’s grace saves us, sustains us and redeems us, and to be always be ready for the return of our King Jesus!
Ep. 8 - Caring for the Poor
In James 1:27 it says, “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for the orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”
In today’s episode, Pastor Gary calls in from long distance to give us an update to the Anchor of Hope feeding center project there in Uganda. We discuss miracle stories of how God has provided for the needy, healed the sick, and discuss the opportunity for listeners here to support the ministry there in Uganda.
We are humbly reminded of all the wonderful blessings we sometimes take for granted here in America, and we are reminded of our calling to meet needs of others in the name of Jesus for God’s glory.
Ep. 7 - God is STILL the God of Miracles
In Psalm 77 - the Psalmist writes,
"Your ways, God, are holy.
What god is as great as our God?
You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples."
In today’s episode we conclude the conversation between Pastor Gary and his wife Carol. They discuss how God is still a God of miracles today. In the midst of fear, we’re encouraged to have faith. In the center of doubt, we’re reminded to trust in God.
It’s not by our power or our might that we accomplish great things for God’s kingdom, but rather it’s by His Spirit, says the Lord.
Ep. 6 - Faith Over Fear
Jesus calls us to leave everything behind to follow Him - but doing so can sometimes be a little scary.
In Isaiah 41 God says to his people
Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Today, Pastor Gary and his wife Carol pick up from last week’s conversation sharing from their personal experiences about what it truly means to walk by faith. We’re reminded that God is always with us and is faithful to provide for our needs. No matter what we face in life, we can trust that God will never leave us nor forsake us.
Ep. 5 - God Qualifies The Called
In the book of Acts Jesus says to his apostles,
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
This command from Jesus is known as the great commission. Some might mistake that this command only applied to his apostles back then, but in fact, it’s relevant for the Christian church today.
In this episode, Pastor Gary and his wife Carol share from their personal experiences what it looks like to respond in obedience to this command. We’re reminded that God does not call the qualified, but rather He qualifies the called.
