World travel, two season ski passes and a cross-country move. How Katie and her husband moved from NYC to Salt Lake City on a whim that took months to plan.

Katie and her husband decided to take a year and travel the world. This and an extended road trip across the US lead to moving from New York City to Salt Lake City on a "whim" that took almost a year to plan. They purchased a home in Utah site unseen, bought a couple of season ski passes, and moved themselves cross country. There were plenty of adjustments to be made, but they have never looked back. More on relocating and how Katie pays her entire mortgage through house hacking on this week’s At Home podcast.
