Hey friend! It has been a crazy year, hasn’t it? I just wanted to let you know that I will be taking the rest of 2023 off of podcasting to focus on the holidays with my family! I will be back in January and I cannot wait to be in this space with you again!
In this special episode of Terri Bonin, At Home, I'm joined by my Instagram friend, Heidi Baird. Together, we delve into the essence of a godly marriage, she relays her insights from mentoring women, uncovering the underlying heart issues women encounter, and shedding light on the process of addressing concealed, deep-seated sins in our lives. This episode is bound to enrich your spirit!

Something I’m Loving: My holiday decoration unpacking has begun! I absolutely love the tradition of unloading boxes from storage, finding the festive dishes and organizing them into my closets and cabinets. Here is a pro-tip: If you buy holiday decorations AFTER the holidays, it will be like an early Christmas when you get to unpack and use them for the first time!
Ep. 47 - The Truth of Spiritual Warfare with Laura Gallier
Today on Terri Bonin, At Home, we have a very special interview with Laura Gallier, the award winning author of The Delusion: We All Have Our Demons! We discuss what inspired Laura to start her journey in writing this series, her major influences, the conflicts and how she prayed and fasted during the writing of this book!
Here is a brief synopsys of the story: By March of Owen Edmonds’s senior year, eleven students at Masonville High School have committed suicide. Amid the media frenzy and chaos, Owen tries to remain level-headed―until he endures his own near-death experience and wakes to a distressing new reality.

Ep. 46 - Wellness Wednesday - The Pain Medication NOBODY Told You About!
I am about to CHANGE YOUR LIFE with ONE WORD! Methylsulfonylmethane.
No, I don’t expect you to know how to pronounce that word.
Methylsulfonylmethane, or MSM or Sulfur, is a nutritional supplement that has MANY incredible benefits for the body, such as: Pain Relief, Joint Mobility, Glowing Skin, Thickening Hair, Aiding Digestion, Supporting Immunity. MSM is a non toxic supplement that you can never take too much of!
I have absolutely no doubts that when you introduce Sulfurzyme into your daily vitamin regimen, you will immediately see the effects!
Here is my FAVORITE Form of Sulfurzyme!
Check out the book The Miracle of MSM: The Natural Solution if you want more information on the benefits of Sulfur!

Ep. 45 - Boo! You can't scare me!
Halloween… A controversial topic in many Christian circles! What are the origins, the history, the meaning and the point of Halloween? Should we, as Christians, celebrate Halloween?
Let’s discuss!
This episode is not to condemn anybody’s fun, upright traditions on October 31st, but to simply give an overview of how the Bonins celebrate and the reasons behind our celebrations!
If we believe that Jesus conquered hell and death, then why should we have a holiday celebrating hell, death, terror and fear? “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18!
The book, Sacred Seasons: A Guide to Center Your Year Around Jesus, is a fabulous introduction to all of the seasons, holidays and traditions we should uphold as Christians!
You should also read this book The Gospel Comes with a House Key! It will shift your perspective on how to share the gospel!
Something I’m Loving: I am LOVING how all the oils, products, smells, flavors, vibes and temperatures are changing now! It is just such a wonderful time of tranquility and blessing! How could you NOT love this season change?
Ep. 44 - Gratitude and Peace with My Incredible Mother!
Introducing my mom! My mother, who so elegantly raised my 3 sisters and I, gave us a strong foundation of faith! In this episode, we jump right into a valuable conversation with the woman who has poured into my life, has always been there for me and gave up so much to raise me!
We talk about choosing PEACE over FEAR, especially with little children running around, how there is a time and place for joy, grief and rest, but life keeps moving, and we discuss why it is crucial to intentionally love your children and make time for them!
Years and years of sacrificial, loving women came before me and I believe we owe it to our daughters to keep that chain going!
When was the last time you thanked your mom or dad for their love and support?
Something I’m Loving! My precious time with Samuel! Wow! I am so thankful for the time we get to spend together every Tuesday for his Physical Therapy. He is such a good natured son and it is so easy to get lost in the shuffle!
Ep. 43 - Wellness Wednesday - The SAVING Power of Enzymes!
My mysterious friend, who lives many hours away, had excruciating stomach pain for HOURS! It was unlivable! I recommended that she take a specific regime of Young Living digestive support, enzyme blends and oils (for absorption) and wow! She was 90% better in just ten minutes!
That, my friends, is the power of introducing enzymes into your daily life! I have so many other testimonies and incredible stories to share about the healing power of enzymes. Did you know that at 12 weeks, your baby receives its enzyme potential, for life! What?
Enzymes are the key to life, as they allow our body to work correctly so we can sleep better at night and be wide awake during the day!
Here are my favorite enzyme supplements from Young Living!

Ep. 42 - Why I'm Here in This Space!
Hi! I am Terri! I am a wife, mother, business owner, grandma and, most importantly, a Child of God! Terri Bonin, At Home, is a space I speak words of life over married, single, older and younger Christian women about their vital role as culture creator, life giver and supporter!
I have been married for 34 years (at the time of this podcast posting!) We have 11 children, and yes, I bore each of them with my own body! :P My life is filled with family events, church, births, dates, business and lots of reading!
Words can bring life and death, I hope to leave these words here for my own daughters. I hope you are encouraged and inspired by this podcast and I hope you share it with others!
Something I’m Loving: I have these kinito portable batteries for my diffusers that I am absolutely LOVING!! I use them anywhere with these cool little chargers. Highly recommend for diffuser lovers out there.
Ep. 41 - You Choose Your Life's Narrative!
Everybody’s life is balanced on two rails, like a train: The track of blessing and the track of trials. We all have blessings and trials happening at the same time! From those two options, we have the challenging but rewarding ability to choose our own narrative: to choose our own perspective!
Our lives go in the direction of our thoughts, our expectations often predict our outcomes! God calls us to remember the blessings that we have and continually give thanks for them!
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
Something I’m Loving! My new salad! Here are the simple ingredients:
Mixed Greens
Chopped red, orange and yellow bell peppers
Feta Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Sea Salt
Sliced almonds (optional)
Toss in Balsamic Vinegar and Organic Olive Oil
Combine and Enjoy!
Ep. 40 - Wellness Wednesday - Essential Enzymes for Everyone!
People of ALL ages suffer from gut or digestive issues! That should not be the case! You shouldn't be subject to a life of family dinners that you regret afterward!
That is why this episode about Enzymes is a foundational beginning to your journey to gut health! Our bodies employ enzymes to extract the nutrients from the food we eat and deliver it to our blood. They are an essential part of the food intake and absorption process. You must eat fresh fruits, fresh veggies and more to have the right amount of enzymes in your gut microbiome!
I promise, you will not regret investing in your own gut health! Here are the products I mentioned in this episode:
Ep. 39 - Traditions, Rituals and Culture Building as a Busy Mom!
Traditions in a household are fundamentally important for memory-making and foundation building! I grew up in a household with many traditions and I wanted to pass on traditions to my children, as well.
Traditions are the things that you do. Rituals are the way you do those traditions!
As we are nearing the holiday season, I want to encourage you to plan ahead, be intentional and implement traditions that your children will remember forever!
Here is the link to my Fall Tradition Ideas Blog!
Here is the link to the Memory Making Mom!
Something I’m Loving! My Waggons! Wow, I never realized HOW much I would LOVE my waggons, until I bought them! Now, I can’t do anything that requires carrying a large amount of stuff without them! I got mine from Costco and I use them almost on a daily basis!
Ep. 38 - From Frustration to Fulfillment: Strengthening Your Marriage
Every spouse desires a strong marriage, then disappointment hits hard and it feels like the rug was pulled out from under the you. To be honest, avoiding disappointment is a silly journey to embark on! Life is full of heartache, dashed expectations and sad moments. But God.
Disappointments often come from an overemphasis on your own selfish feelings and vision of how things should look. So, dealing with disappointments is a battle that begins on the inside, with a simple perspective shift!
A marriage is a team, a companionship! Highlighting BOTH perspectives, BOTH needs and being able to SUPPORT each OTHER, is vital for a wonderful marriage!
Something I’m Loving! Golden Turmeric! In yesterday’s Wellness Wednesday, we discussed the intense benefits of Young Living’s Golden Turmeric. When my husband and I have Turmeric, I sleep more soundly, have more mental clarity, my husband aches and is less sore after his workouts! Get yourself some HERE!
Ep. 37 - Wellness Wednesday: The Perfect, Overlooked Golden Turmeric!
Turmeric, a golden spice, crushed into powder and traditionally used for cooking: What is all the hype about? Over 6,000 publications have been focused on uncovering the benefits, so there must be some!
Turmeric has so many health benefits that can be found HERE!
Before you write turmeric off, because you tried it once and it didn’t work for you, consider the processing! Humans deplete the soil of nutrients, spray the plants with bug killers and hormones, pick the plant at the wrong time, process it in the most time and cost effective ways, store it in harsh conditions, then distribute it over thousands of miles! No wonder supplements may not work so well when you ingest it!
That is why I use Young Living’s Golden Turmeric! It is not only yummy, but because it has essential oils infused in it, the oil is guaranteed to get to where it needs to go, in your body!
Recipe for Golden Milk!
Ep. 36 - How to Manage Your Time Using the Pomodoro Method
The Pomodoro method of time management has been LIFE CHANGING for my day.
So many things beckon me from my work. Sometimes I even battle hopping in my car to drive to McDonalds for a morning coffee just to put off work a bit longer.! So, in today’s episode I explain how the method works to keep ADDHD people like me focused and how you can use it in your own life!
Something I’m Loving: LAYING FLAT! You'll have to listen to the episode for context but after sleeping in a broken recliner for a week, I'm thanking Jesus for my flat, comfy bed.
Ep. 35 - My son was in a car accident and God is still good!
My 16 year old son, Samuel, was in a car accident last week. He is alive. We are thankful. Through the heartache and the tears, it has been so amazing seeing what wonderful things God can do in times of distress. My heart is so warm seeing how my family has stepped up, been kind and considerate to one another, and has cherished and loved each other.
In today’s episode, I just wanted to sit down and chat, and update you on what’s been going on this week. Throughout our morning and night shifts at the hospital, we have had many opportunities to read scripture with Samuel, redirect his words and perspective, and encourage him to continue giving thanks to God for sparing his life.
My oldest daughter Madeleine Bonin talked further about the experience on her podcast: https://open.spotify.com/episode/77fallVliJ9yIRnx56tHIC?si=NYDAD6wHSHK6VNi7TITiBA
Ep. 34 - Samuel’s Hospital Protocol - Wellness Wednesday
My 16 year old son, Samuel, was in a car accident and has been in a hospital bed for the last couple of days. We are so thankful for Western Medicine and for the doctors, who are working hard to help him recover. In today’s episode, I discuss the supplements I am using and the oils I’m diffusing to help Samuel with flushing out the trauma in his body, the pain, and the damage.

Psalm 59:16 says, “But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength;
Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For You have been my stronghold
And a refuge in the day of my distress.”
Thank you so much for listening and for praying for Samuel during this difficult time. We have grown closer as a family, and in our dependence on Christ alone.
Ep. 33 - Maintaining a Happy Household 101
To have a happy household you must have the secret ingredient, HAPPINESS! As the woman of the home, your mood sets the temperature of the environment. Your children will be affected by your attitude, your day will be affected by your attitude and the culture of your home will be affected by your attitude, no matter what! In today's episode, I will discuss a few things you can do to make sure your cup is filled and your spirit is joyful, so that you and your family can thrive in a happy home. I love a spotless house just as much as the next mom… but I value friendship with my children much more. Nothing is more important than conversations where we open up to one another, encourage each other, and laugh together. I decided that I wanted to understand the end times better for myself - and for my family. Because it’s a loaded topic! I have loved doing my own research lately, and it’s been so beneficial and enlightening. There are so many helpful books and resources, and it’s a fascinating subject! I'm going through books by John Hagee right now! https://www.jhm.org/
Ep. 32 - Keep the End in Mind with Your Kids
Raising each of my 11 has been a stretch, a gift, hard, wonderful, crazy, a blessing... Unfortunately for me they are incredibly different which keeps me on my toes. I fall and fail and get back up again, seek Jesus, and start over and in turn they learn to do the same. It's messy, but it's good.
In this episode, from homeschooling, to fostering their creativity and launching them into the world, we discuss what I've learned and continue to lean as a momma of 11 kiddos!
An important conversation to have is “what defines success” for you and your husband, in terms of parenting. Your version of “success” is different than somebody else’s version of it! I hope this episode encourages you to be fully present with your little ones as they grow and become who they are meant to be!
Something I’m Loving: Papa’s Wife! I usually don’t allow myself to do things just for fun. Can all my Enneagram 3 friends say “AMEN!” I enjoy tasks, building a business and delivering the goods to my family: but sometimes, I need to remind myself to chill out, have fun and still do things that I enjoy! So, I am re-reading my high school favorite and I am so blessed by it!
Ep. 31 - Wellness Wednesday - All things Peppermint!
In today's Wellness Wednesday we discuss all things PEPPERMINT! Peppermint oil has been my best friend this year as my body is changing and growing. Peppermint oil has met me where I was at in ALL thirds of a lady’s life. It's incredibly calming and invigorating.
Peppermint helps with:
- Body temperature regulation
- Breathing
- Headaches
- Digestion
- Mental clarity
I promise, having peppermint around is like having a "nurse in your purse" at all times. It is worth every drop!

Ep. 30 - How to Overcome Loneliness in Marriage!
Let’s first deal with the biggest question you may have! Can loneliness in marriage even exist? Yes! It can! If you experience loneliness in marriage, it is not because you married the wrong person, it just means you are a normal human being!
Loneliness doesn’t exist in a way where you may be literally alone all day, but it can exist in an emotional or spiritual way! You can feel detached from or drained by your partner.
In this episode, I share practical ways that I was able to help the expectations of my marriage turn around so that my loneliness subsided! Your husband is not a demi-god, you are not a demi-god. But, luckily for us, our God is God! Rely on Jesus to quench your loneliness and take the burden of your emotional pain! Your marriage will be stronger for it.
Something I’m Loving! It is always simple lifestyle or home changes that bring the most excitement! I rearranged the main area of my house (and my husband didn’t even say a thing! He just accepted it!). I am loving the different location of the dining table, in a room with more sunlight. It is a little dynamic change that makes all the difference!
Ep. 29 - The Hard and Fast Rules for Marital Fights!
Your first years of marriage, and many after, will be highlighted by passionate fights, disagreements and heated arguments. If you are a passionate person, like me, you will butt heads with your partner maybe multiple times a day!
But let me tell you something: Fighting as a married couple is normal. Everyone has fights. Everyone has disagreements. Everyone has squabbles. No married couple is exempt from any sort of brawling!
However, not every couple resolves their fights in the same way. How you and your hubs move past these conflicts is where the growth and sweetness of a marriage truly develops. In this episode, we discuss the hard and fast rules for fighting, arguing and resolving conflicts as a married couple!
Something I’m Loving: There is a group of boys who are spending many summer evenings at our home! They love the Lord, are respectful, are curious about the world and we love having them over! I always wanted my home to be a place of discussion, good memories and laughs! And in this moment, it is!
Ep. 28 - Wellness Wednesday - How to NATURALLY Sleep Better!
Have you ever struggled with sleeping? Chances are that if you’re a human, you have. We can all agree that sleep is important. I know when I’m deprived of it, you do not want to be my friend. It affects every part of our lives:
Health
Emotions
Relationships
Good quality sleep is a life essential - but that doesn’t mean MORE sleep is the answer. In today's episode I talk through some lifestyle habits you can make to improve your sleep quality, not length.
Here are all the supplements I mentioned in this episode!

SOMETHING I’M LOVING: My husband. Yep that's it.. Seriously, I'm enjoying watching his recent obsession of building furniture for the backyard. It’s fun watching him outside, listening to music, and creating a beautiful atmosphere. I’m grateful for a husband who cares about our home and how it looks!
Ep. 27 - A message for the Single Ladies!
I bet you can get anxiety about knowing if he’s the right man for you?
Choosing your life long spouse is the second most important decision you’ll ever make, after your salvation. So, it can’t be a hasty decision! I hope this episode helps prevent at least 1 single lady from pursuing the wrong man and wasting her precious singleness!
No matter how old you are or what stage of life you’re in, it’s never too late to begin praying for your future husband and writing lists of traits you dream of in a man. You can ask God to protect you from the wrong man that will hinder your growth, for guidance throughout your dating stages, and to continue turning you into the future wife you want to be.
Something I’m Loving: You know me and my drinks … I LOVE THEM! My new cupholder friendly mug! It was always such a fuss to bring my drinks in the car with me, because most of my mugs don’t fit into my cup holders. Well, I FINALLY found a mug that fits the cup holder in my car perfectly. Life is so much easier and I can enjoy my drinks without the fear of spilling it all over the floor. Cheers!
Ep. 26 - The 4 Stages of A Relationship with Madeleine Frost
Today, on Terri Bonin, At Home, we discuss how every romantic relationship goes through four stages:
Intellectual
Emotional
Spiritual
Physical
In that order! Each level has a seriousness to it, all the while the attraction will stay throughout! When you are dating, it is easy to want to rush forward through all of the phases before there is a ring, but waiting is always better and safer for you! Madeleine and I talk about how our relationships with our husbands followed the 4 stages at different speeds.
Something I’m Loving: Our very special guest, Madeleine has her OWN podcast called “In The Middle.” It is a soothing, thoughtful, short form podcast that displays her creative point of view of the world around her! You should definitely go check it out, if you want to be inspired and reminded that art is a way of life!

Ep. 25 - Wellness Wednesday: Raising Healthy Boys without Needing a Doctor with Sydnie Bonin
Raising strong and healthy boys is no easy task, because toddler boys gravitate towards ALL things dangerous and messy. But guess what? You don’t need to spend your days at the ER! My sweet daughter in law Sydnie Bonin, who’s a mother of 2 rambunctious boys, joined me on today’s Wellness Wednesday to share her wisdom on children’s health. Western medicine is NOT always the answer and in some cases, can be more harmful than helpful. Essential oils are safe. They bypass the skin and heal you from the inside out. There is NOTHING as effective as these oils. In this episode, Sydnie informs us about the essential oils needed for fevers, c0vid, ear infections, and even soothing upset emotions! Plus, she shares her essential oil journey and how she discovered the life changing effect they had on her skin. Sydnie’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sydniebonin/
Sydnie’s Blog: https://www.sydniebonin.com/home
Something I’m Loving: My massage table and the raindrop essential oil technique! It is a Bonin household favorite. I love being able to soothe my family’s stress with the raindrop oil regimen. Essential oils have brought my family together and will continue to bring them together, I want EVERY family to have that!
Ep. 24 - Your Unique Loveliness as a Feminine Woman!
Doesn’t it sound beautiful to have a long lasting, romantic, and beautiful marriage?
Well friend, you can have that! Yes, with YOUR hubby! Men love our God given delicacy, gentleness, nurturing spirit, and sensitive emotions. It’s such a blessing that we’re created differently from men. If we were the same, there wouldn’t be a reason for marriage! Allow yourself to be feminine. Allow yourself to create strong bonds with family and friends, be hospitable, and encourage other women.
Something I’m LOVING: I got my colors done! Getting my colors professionally analyzed was the best decision I've ever made! Walking into a closet full of clothing that I feel beautiful in is such a better experience than having a cluttered and chaotic closet, full of the wrong colors! I hope you look into color analysis, whether it's online or in person, and start learning about your unique palette and beauty.
Ep. 23 - Making a Home a Culture of Happiness with Alexis Houston
“Start your day out well, and end your day well. Ask for forgiveness for everything in between.” - Terri Bonin
There is no one size fits all to build a home and create a culture of love in your household! As women, our very important job is to build a home’s culture and vibe. Alexis Houston, mom of two boys, gives us her strategies on building a loving culture! A special gifting of a woman is to provide peace in the home, and a happy home begins with a strong marriage.
Not only does the home meet the basic human needs of a person, it gives them a sense of peace and respite and comfort! In your home, you don’t need elaborate decorations, to throw loud parties or always have a Thanksgiving feast prepared: you just need love, peace and rest!
Something I’m Loving: WALKING! My evening walk is an incredible unwinding time that I hold very sacred. I always make a point to stop and smell the roses! When is the last time that you intentionally went on a stroll and immersed yourself in the physical world around you?
Ep 22 - Wellness Wednesday: What Do I keep in My Purse?
At this point, it is no mystery that I keep my purse full of essential oils! In this episode of Wellness Wednesday, we discuss my top favorite oils, their purpose and the three ways oils can be ingested into the body! (We also dive into a brief history of essential oils and how they were used - YES! They were mentioned in the Bible!)
I hope this episode is an encouragement to you, mom, if there are underlying and seemingly unsolvable health issues in your family! I promise you, there is a fix, there is a cure! With a couple of lifestyle changes and the boldness to throw out your old toxic chemicals, you can reclaim health and wellness for your family!
Here is the essential oils starter kit: https://www.youngliving.com/us/en/search/bundle?searchTerm=bundle?sponsorid=892602&enrollerid=892602
Something I’m Loving: My CBD Beauty Boost! My husband used the beauty boost before I did and when EVERYONE began noticing his bright, smooth skin, I had to know his secret! Needless to say, it works! Check out the CBD Beauty Boost here: https://www.youngliving.com/us/en/search/beauty%20boost?searchTerm=beauty%20boost?sponsorid=892602&enrollerid=892602
Ep 21. When Playing House Turns Into Making A Beautiful Home
Moms, Wives: You are the creator of the culture of your home, what a wonderful job! In this episode of Terri Bonin, At Home, we walk through stories, quotes and tops on how you can take small steps to fight the chaos of family life and turn your home into a beautiful place of comfort, tranquility and rest for your family.
So many people live their whole lives without truly enjoying the physical space and the family they were given. I ask you to consider changing that narrative for your family life! Be that place of comfort, of laughter, of love and of escape from the craziness of daily life!
Something I’m Loving: Our Backyard Saucer Swing! Maybe it is because I had 11 kids and would rock with them all the time, but I am addicted to anything that rocks or swings! I 100% recommend investing in one of these swings for relaxing, special time with your family.
Ep 20. The Importance of Having Togetherness with Your Family with Cory Emmons
This is the second part of my conversation with my special, amazing friend, Cory Emmons. Throughout the chaos of constant travel, living life in a van, and starting new business ventures, Cory’s marriage and family has stayed intact.
There is always somebody with a fancier house, a nicer car, or an easier life. It is so easy to compare ourselves and be discontent with what God has given us. This conversation with Cory was an amazing reminder that the best blessing is our families. We as wives get to serve our children and husband everyday, and fulfill God’s role for us! Never forget the ultimate gift.
Check out Cory’s business Harmony Doodles here! Give them a follow: https://www.instagram.com/harmony.doodles/
Something I’m Loving: Raw milk hot chocolate has been my go-to drink EVERYDAY! I love finding creative uses for my raw milk, and this cocoa feels like a giant warm hug!
Ep 19. Wellness Wednesday: The Supplement that Changed My Life: How to have quality nutrition in your body!
Here is the shocking truth: You cannot get all of the nutrition your body needs from the food that is grown today. Most food is depleted of nutrients, because the soil used to grow the food is depleted of nutrients.
We are seeing the effects of all the lack of good nutrients in society today with digestion issues, autoimmune disorders and blood sugar imbalances!
Here is the supplement that I have had for 17 years in my home: Ningxia Red. Check Ningxia out here!
https://www.youngliving.com/us/en/myaccount/wishlist?listId=6495050e7ff539000a334aa8&enrollerId=892602&sponsorId=892602&userName=TERRI
Here are Seven Reasons You Need Ningxia in your household!
Ningxia has extremely high levels of antioxidants.
Ningxia keeps the body’s PH balanced.
Ningxia fights Free Radicals in your body.
Ningxia contains a perfect balance of vitamins and minerals.
Ningxia is a macro-nutrient in liquid form.
Ningxia is mixed with Essentials Oils, for deliverance around the body.
Ningxia helps clean your cell membranes and helps them work correctly.
Something I’m Loving: You guessed it! Ningxia! Instead of toasting with wine at my daughter’s wedding, we toasted with Ningxia! My favorite way to drink Ningxia is: I boil water, I add 1 oz of Hot Ningxia with one scoop of ICP: mix it and enjoy! This drink makes me feel like superwoman!
Ep 18. Alexis Houston’s Early Days of Marriage and Her Faith Walk with Baby Shepherd!
Ep 20 Alexis Houston’s Early Days of Marriage and Her Faith Walk with Baby ShepherdThe transition for Alexis Houston, formerly Bonin, from being a daughter to a wife was one of molding, honing and shaping: but one that developed into an intense friendship in marriage!
When Shepherd, Alexis' second child, was first shown on the anatomy scan, he only had half of his brain. Grief, pain, questioning and faith were brought to all of their extremes in this season!
But the goodness of God prevails. God is in the suffering, God is in the hope. Alexis shares how she renews her soul: with worship, singing, piano, evening walks and preparing for her rewards in heaven! An eternal perspective and focus is how endurance is grown!
Something I’m Loving: My Stress Oils and Emotional Oils Support! Highest Potential and Loyalty are blended essential oils with Frankincense. (You cannot purchase Loyalty, unless you become a loyalty member!)
Check out more Oils here: https://www.youngliving.com/us/en?enrollerid=892602
Ep 17. MUST DO’S BEFORE YOU GET ENGAGED
Marriage can be FULL of not-so-great surprises, if you don’t do your research about the person you are with! Too many women go into their marriages with rose colored glasses, so let’s talk about the sobering topics before marriage!
Here is a saying my mom always told me: You’re Fastly Becoming Who You are Meant to Be!
Protect what goes into your mind: Ignorance is NOT bliss, when it comes to relationships.
Don’t commit without asking important questions: You will eventually find out the answers of the questions you didn’t ask!
A person’s private life will only stay private for so long. Your life becomes one, so their personal baggage will become yours!
Look for a strong work ethic. A person’s work ethic will say a lot about their character. If their work ethic is efficient, calm and devoted, they will be a steady partner in other areas of life!
Don’t Marry Great Potential. Our lives are made to glorify God, but if he doesn’t use his downtime wisely and pursue his potential, that is a sign!
Here are questions to ask before getting married!
What is their Credit Score?
How do they treat their moms?
Are they a reactive person?
Is he ambitious?
Is he jealous?
Who are his five favorite influences?
Does he read?
What is he putting into his mind?
Is he punctual or late?
Is he messy or organized?
Does he know the Lord?
Something I’m Loving: Piano Lessons Pt. 2! I didn't mention this BUT, my mother is my piano teacher! She is an expert in her field and I have just LOVED spending time with her at the piano!
Ep 16. Talking about No Good, Very Bad TOXINS with Annalise Hiley
You’ve heard the word “Toxic” well, there are substances called “Toxins.” Toxins are TOXIC for your body. Makes sense, doesn’t it? Toxins imbalance your hormones, give you brain fog, can cause lung problems, irritate your skin, mess with your gut health and can fiddle with your cycle. My amazing daughter Analise Hiley joins us to talk about all the ways these toxins affect women’s bodies!
Did you know that Europe bans 1,300 chemicals in our products, and the US bans 11? Isn’t that alarming?! It is time to be your own advocate in terms of products you buy for your household!

Something I’m Loving! My workouts are so valuable to me, even if they are 10 minutes or less! As a busy mom, it is difficult to keep up with my fitness or dedicate 45 minutes every day! My new favorite app, Yogago, is the perfect way for you to get that workout in with low commitment!
Ep 15. How to Establish Habitual & Foundational Routines with Madeleine Frost
Habits are things we do automatically. Routines are things we develop in our lives.
“The number one enemy of habits and routines is perfection!” Madeleine Frost, mom of 3 boys under 4 years old, gives us insights into her experience and wisdom as a young mom, who has formed habits and a life that she loves! Routines set our lives in motion, to reach our end goals!
It may seem overwhelming and chaotic to construct routines, but it is so worth it when you construct them around order, beauty and character development!
Here is the Happy Household Course! If you’re feeling overwhelmed and need encouragement as a mom, here is a resource that can help! Scroll down on the Home Page and sign up! https://terribonin.com/
Something I’m Loving: Hot Drinks and Coffee are SO incredible, but they can be harmful over time. I use Teeccino, my coffee replacement is Dandelion Root that has the same effect as coffee, without the acid!
Ep 14. Letting Your Story Unfold as God has Planned with Cory Emmons
My special, amazing friend, Cory Emmons, who is also a mom of 11, joins Terri Bonin At Home today to talk about her early years of marriage, the shocks, struggles and surprises of it!
Early married years are foundational (and nobody ever said that building a foundation was easy!) God has a plan for each and every one of us that involves challenges, grief, anger, anxiety, but a lot of joy, life, laughs and memory making! No matter where you are in this life, the best course of action is to yield to God’s will!

Something I’m Loving: Piano lessons! I have been paying for my kids to take piano lessons for over two decades! (As any good homeschool mom would) But I never considered them for myself! With only four kids left in the house, I decided it was time to give piano lessons a try.
Our first recital is coming up in a couple weeks! Wish me luck!

Ep 12. Why Reading Books as a Busy Woman is Vital (& how to do it!) with Madeleine Frost
Reading Out Loud: Dreaded by MANY! Reading aloud in a way that makes others want to listen is a skill that must be practiced. But once it's mastered, it's such a fun thing to do with a spouse or kids. A family who reads books aloud together is stronger, and happier than those who do not. Reading interesting stories with life lessons bonds family members.
Did you know that 50% of adults don’t EVER read another book cover to cover after they finish college? What a tragedy!
As a busy woman, it may seem quite literally impossible to schedule in quality reading time for yourself or your family, but my daughter and I are here to encourage you and give you tips on how to reclaim that precious time!
As promised here is the link to get a book recommendation: https://readaloudrevival.com/
Something I’m Loving: The Musical Catechism! It makes doctrine and theology so incredibly easy to understand, while being fun to listen to! Click this link to listen: https://open.spotify.com/album/6nXlwt8l8eUnUV1eS3GPoe?si=qiLXcAnPR9KwGFrP5e7TDg
Ep 11. Being a Feminine, Strong Woman in 2023!
It is 2023, and motherhood, wives and strong marriages are STILL IN HIGH DEMAND! Strength looks different for every individual and looks different between men and women: there is no one size fits all, except strength that comes from the hand and heart of Jesus! He is our strength, shelter and our advocate!
In this episode, we talk about how to embrace feminine strength from a biblical perspective in today’s demanding culture. Ladies, society needs your brilliance, your family needs your strength and your husband needs your femininity!

Ep 10. Wellness Wed! Why add this to Terri Bonin At Home?
The modern understanding of the role of "wife and mother" is traditionally a loving, caring and nurturing one. While that is true, I believe the role is a protective role as well! Protecting your family from toxins, unhealthy habits and harmful chemicals is an integral role that nobody but the wife and mother can fill effectively!
Wellness Wednesday is a segment on my podcast Terri Bonin, At Home, where we discuss how to make easy product swaps, lifestyle changes and quick decisions for your family's household product and food intake! These episodes will be practical, informative and helpful to you, in your journey as a busy mom to protect your family gracefully and dutifully!
I hope to see you back here each time a Wellness Wednesday episode is released!
Ep. 9 Boundaries: Establish Healthy and Necessary Boundaries in Marriage!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Here is an uncomfortable topic: Boundaries in your marriage! YIKES! Sometimes, couples struggle to set boundaries in terms of family, in terms of personal growth and in terms of how money is spent! TRUST ME! If you are a newlywed, you never think about how important boundaries can be with your husband... But they are important!
This double-walled vintage glass bottle is MY NEW OBSESSION! I like the way it fits my hand and pours into the 15 diffusers I fill! (YES, I have 15!!!) Can you say OBSESSED?? I love practicing aroma therapy in my home for my family's health! It's such a beautiful habit that supports wellness!

Ep. 8 Encouraging Your Hard Working Husband When You Don't Feel Like It!
Did you know that encouraging your husband will restore energy to your own weary soul? Give what you need the most and be amazed at what God does for you!
Proverbs 31:10 “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.” You have to ask yourself, am I a nagging wife? Or am I an encouraging wife? Be honest about it and seek the change that is necessary for a strong marriage!
That Scalp Scratcher is JUST amazing! I 100% recommend it!

Ep. 3 Marriage & homemaking on a FAST TRACK with Madeleine Frost
Madeline Frost, my oldest daughter got married on a FAST TRACK! Isn't her story so much fun?
Madeleine moved into “a hole in the wall” shortly after her wedding, but what she did with that space was beautiful! Ladies, the size or quality of the place does not matter, it is all about HOW you use the space and make it special!
