Real Talk: Letting Go Like a Boss!

Real Talk: Letting Go Like a Boss!

Dropping the emotional baggage tied to other people's vibes? You got this! Here are some tips to help you vibe higher and let go of that emotional weight:

  1. Tune into your feels: First things first, be aware of the feels triggered by others. Know what's lighting up your emotional dashboard.

  2. Get introspective: Take a moment to understand why certain folks can push your buttons. Knowing your triggers is like unlocking the secret code to emotional freedom.

  3. Channel your inner zen master: Remember, other people's actions and vibes are on them, not you. Repeat after me: "Their vibe, their responsibility."

  4. Boundaries, baby: It's time to establish some rock-solid boundaries. Don't be afraid to say 'no' when you need to, and put yourself first.

  5. Shower yourself with love: You're a F*CKING ROCKSTAR, and it's high time you treat yourself like one. Shower yourself with self-love and watch those negative vibes bounce off.

  6. Surround yourself with good vibes only: Build your squad with people who lift you up and inspire you to be your best self.

  7. Approval? Who needs it: Let go of the need for other people's approval. Trust your gut and own your decisions like a boss.

  8. Zen it out: Mindfulness and meditation are the secret weapons to staying cool, calm, and collected in the face of drama.

  9. Be a comeback kid: Life's got its curveballs, but you? You're the comeback kid. Bounce back from negativity like a pro.

  10. Talk to a pro: If you're stuck in an emotional rollercoaster, don't be shy about reaching out to a therapist or coach. They've got the tools to help you ride that wave.

Remember, your emotions are like your favorite playlist. You've got the power to hit 'skip' on the negativity and crank up the good vibes. 🎶💃 #LettingGoLikeABoss"

What are you Willing to lose? Featuring Chef Luckie

What are you Willing to lose? Featuring Chef Luckie

Meet my friend & guest, Chef Luis Berrios, or as we all call him, "Luckie or Chef Luckie." His journey into the culinary world began when he was 13-years-old, scrubbing dishes over at the Mountain Side Inn in South Paterson. It was there that he started his connection with the art of cooking, guided by his grandmother's treasured recipes and wisdom.

Luckie's professional path really took off when he turned 34, & only seven years later, he's not just a Chef, he's an award-winning Chef. He has managed to open not one but three restaurants, & his Pride & Joy Suerte Food Truck!  You see, his motivation goes beyond just curating dishes. It's about infusing each creation with the same affection he grew up with. He is proud of where he comes from, often saying he's just a "kid from Union & Redwood" on the West side of Paterson.

His culinary skills aren't from some fancy culinary school, but rather, they were nurtured through hard work and determination. Those early days of washing dishes? They were the building blocks of his journey. His grandmother Maria C. Aponte's recipes and his mother Nidia Rodriguez's Puerto Rican dishes were his foundation.

He really honed in on his craft under Chef Toni Park, at The Brownstone in Paterson, where he served Berkeley College Students. He also transformed Bar food to the level of gourmet food over at The Huddle Sports Bar & Grill in Nutley, NJ. To then cater an unforgettable wedding dinner for over 200 guests in NYC.

So, what sets him apart? Luckie's style is a beautiful fusion of Latin American flavors that he's been perfecting over the years. And all of this comes from a place of dedication, love, and a whole lot of passion.

Aside from all of this he is also working on launching a Coaching Program, as he is very passionate about mentoring others who share his love for the culinary arts business, & is finalizing his first book, to be published soon, so Stay Tuned!

Why Losing Friends is OK!!

Why Losing Friends is OK!!

Disclaimer: I had a slight cold when I recorded this & it may sound Choppy a bit but It was too good to redo!

In this Episode I talk about losing friends & how normal it is in todays world!  It's not something to be afraid of or dread. You really never have people forever. Some stay for a short period, some stay a little longer and some remain with you. What is important is that you enjoy what you have now, cherish it and appreciate it.

Friendship can be such a beautiful experience; someone that was once a stranger can provide you with comfort, love, laughter and joy. But equally, friendship is hard! There seems to be so much pressure to make friends and have amazing connections. I know I’ve always felt it.  The thing is, we’re all so unique and getting to know people can be draining. Plus, not everyone is meant to be in your life forever. As you get older, you notice it more. But that doesn’t make it any easier. The reality is losing friends can actually be good for you, even if it doesn’t feel great in the moment.

Over the years I’ve lost so many friends. At times it has been quite natural – after all, people grow apart. But there have been numerous instances that it felt awful.  I tried to fix things and hold on. I questioned what I did wrong.  I know I’m not alone in holding onto friendships I probably shouldn’t have.  But with time I’m learning that losing friends is completely normal and it isn’t your fault.

Let me know if you've ever experienced this or are experiencing it now.

Becoming a Fierce Femmepreneur-Interview on WUT Podcast

Becoming a Fierce Femmepreneur-Interview on WUT Podcast

Watch Us Thrive is a personal development podcast that talks about mental health, healing from trauma that keeps us stuck in toxic relationships & how we can reconnect with our inner magic.

Founder and CEO, Lianne Torres, has been on her personal development journey since early 2021. After escaping a physically & emotionally abusive relationship, she realized that she was attracting the same type of toxic partner over and over again. She realized she was the common denominator in those relationships and knew it was time for a hard reset in order to begin healing her deep-rooted wounds.

In the process of her journey to healing, Lianne started her podcast, Watch Us Thrive, to share the life stories of what she’s gone through. It has since become a beautiful platform where guests share their own life experiences of turning their pain into power and trauma into triumph.

Lianne is passionate AF about helping listeners heal from their own life experiences by candidly sharing her own and the stories of others. The Watch Us Thrive podcast is a safe & honest platform to normalize having these tough conversations and be a voice for the voiceless.

Like she always says: "We're going to talk about the sh*t you don't want to talk about...but it NEEDS to be talked about!"

Listen to weekly episodes available on all major podcast streaming platforms (like Apple podcasts & Spotify) every Tuesday at 5AM EST (and the occasional bonus episode in between!)
