Matt walks us through Holy Week talking about we NEED the resurrection

Matt contrasts our human tendency to betray and gossip about those who hurt us with Jesus' remarkable response to Judas' betrayal during the Last Supper. Though Jesus plainly stated one of his disciples would betray him, he did not treat Judas as an outcast. Instead, Jesus kept Judas intimately close, even allowing him to dip bread in the same bowl.

Matt speak about Jesus' profound loyalty and love for those who hurt him most. He draws a parallel to how we all betray Jesus at times by disobeying His will. Yet Jesus persistently desires to bring us back into close relationship, just as he did with Judas.

The purpose of our existence is to wholeheartedly love God who gave himself fully for us through Jesus' death. We are to extend the same intimate embrace that Jesus offered, quickly forgiving others as he forgave us when we had betrayed him.

Main Point: We should be actively seeking Jesus in our everyday lives and trusting that He can bring miracles into any situation.

This episode focuses on the story from Mark 5 where Jesus raises a dead girl back to life and heals a sick woman. The main points covered are:

1. We need to be people who hear Jesus say "Get up" to the dead areas of our lives just as Jesus raised the dead girl.
2. We struggle to come to Jesus for help
3. We need to surrender everything, big and small, to God through persistent prayer instead of looking for other solutions.
4. Our call is to make Jesus famous by sharing stories of God's goodness so others have confidence to receive prayer.
5. We need to hear ourselves saying "In Jesus' name, get up" to the dead situations around us, just as Jesus did.
