S1. E6. Tracey Grist
In this episode Nick and Tracey open the lid on what is is that the National Council for Hypnotherapy does as a not-for-profit association trying to maintain standards and professionalism within the industry, as well as Tracey's collaboration and contributions to this year's UK Hypnosis Convention.
Tracey also discusses the user friendliness of being in an ethical Professional organisation that has your back and understands the trials of being a Hypnotherapist in full time practice in the UK.
Tracey became Chairman of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) in 2016, a role she feels passionate about; setting and upholding standards in the Hypnotherapy profession. She also trains and assesses students of hypnotherapy to the Diploma standard of the National Council of Further Education (NCFE).
A full time hypnotherapist trained in counselling, hypnosis, hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) Tracey has been in practice for the last decade. Originally with locations throughout London including Harley Street she has now settled in practice, south of the river, in Balham.

S1. E5. Andrew Austin
For the fifth instalment, Nick has the pleasure of welcoming Andrew Austin on to discuss amongst other things; why people choose to become therapists, the scale of the intellectual laziness within the helping professions, status obsessions, how (too) many view therapy and mental health as quasi-religions, and much, much more...

S1. E4. Chatting with Gary Turner
Gary discusses exactly what is professionalism? Why should we question what we do? How can we be more professional? Are all professions as unprofessional as hypnotherapy? The importance of reflective practice. Why it is never wrong to question, especially teaching, and also ourselves.
This extra long episode is packed full of content for hypnotherapists and change workers alike.

S1. E3. An Interview with Howard Cooper
Episode three is packed full of valuable content, brought to you courtesy of full time rapid change worker Howard Cooper.
Howard Cooper is known for helping people create RAPID shifts in their thinking and over the last 20 years he has worked with 1000s of individuals. He rejects the notion that deep & lasting change has to take a long time and, over the years he's seen some incredible transformations. He has worked on ‘Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Without Fear' course, writes magazine columns, talks about change on LBC and even hosts his own podcast (Rapid Change Matters) to name a few. All this has gone into the “melting pot” that is Howard’s experience which he is now keen to share with others in the business.
Howard chats with Nick about how clients often get in their own way, Meta suggestions and the Willingness ladder, an approach to change work that has gained plaudits for the hypnosis community.

S1. E2. Talking with James Brown
For the second episode of this Hypnosis Discussion Network podcast, Nick is joined by top magician and performance hypnotist James Brown, discussing the topic “Have some of us fallen for our own illusions?” expanding on the illusion and self-delusions many subjects and hypnotists alike have of the perceived power and control the operator posseses (drawing parallels with the world of magic).
James has gained a reputation for not only being a polished performer and highly skilled hypnotist, but of being an individual of great personal integrity who speaks passionately about how some of his fellow professionals can do better. This passion and decency are demonstrated throughout this fascinating conversation.
