One of the testimonials she shared was in regards to an incident that happened when she 3 yrs old. Her mom, who was addicted to crack, left her over at a dealer's house while she went to get money she owed him. When she didn't come back, the dealer boiled water, bleach and other chemicals, put it in a tub and placed Namiah's feet in it. It burned her feet so bad that they almost had to be amputated. Namiah is sharing her story of triumph to motivate others. In addition to author, she is also a certified life coach, a podcaster, vocal coach, and sanger (not singer).

A movie was made based on his experience of helping a member of the Ku Klux Klan change his life and denounce that lifestyle. It is titled "Burden" and stars Forest Whitaker.
