HOW TO USE "ONE" WORD TO ACHIEVE DESIRED DREAMS, GOALS, AND ASPIRATIONS
Hello everyone!
Welcome to "The Transitioning Room" Podcast! My name is Rochelle "SLAY Queen" Hemingway and my purpose is to use my self-discipline and bold leadership skills to help empower women transitioning from a 20-year + career to face their fears and insecurities to step into their next BIG thing based on my signature SLAY framework; Stay Ready To Be Ready, Lead Out Loud, A Sense Of Family, and You Are Built To Last without sacrificing health, relationships, opportunities, or happiness based on the many lessons learned during my 30-year military career experiences in the United States Air Force and beyond!
Our lives are always changing: retirement, a new job, a new friendship or relationship, an illness, graduation, or even the loss of a loved one are all different types of transitions. Transitions come in all shapes and sizes and can be both exciting and challenging. While trying new things can be refreshing, many people find comfort in their daily routines, and experiencing a transition can get in the way of these comforts. Since I retired from the United States Air Force, I realized that learning to deal with transitions is SO important as our everyday lives are almost always changing!
In this podcast, I share tips outside of the mandatory Military Transition Assistance Program briefing to help deal with the emotional highs and lows during the transition.
When I retired after serving 30 years in the United States Air Force, I decided to launch my own business to create my own path with the skills and experiences I have. My mindset shifted from following directions and orders to designing the life that I want.
In this episode, I discuss how to use one word to achieve your desired dreams, goals, and aspirations. Rochelle "SLAY Queen" Hemingway

Since I retired from the United States Air Force, I realized that learning to deal with transitions is SO important as our everyday lives are almost always changing!
In this podcast, I share tips outside of the mandatory Military Transition Assistance Program briefing to help deal with the emotional highs and lows during the transition.
During these unprecedented times, it's time to be firm about your choices right now. Don't go backwards to habits and situations that weren't helping to evolve. You have to keep reminding yourself why you even decided to move forward in the first place. Stay positive about what's to come by being consistent with your change now.

HOW TO BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR OWN LIFE IN RETIREMENT
STAY READY TO BE READY
The “S” in SLAY stands for Staying Ready To Be Ready! Have you ever been presented with an opportunity and turned it down because you weren’t ready? We owe it to ourselves to stay ready. Life is like a marathon run filled with flat roads, hills and curves. We need to constantly be in a state of readiness, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst at the same time to adapt to whatever comes our way. Stay ready to be ready by being ready for business and career opportunities, by taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally, having a positive attitude, and navigating the family work balance space.
